Fermi?Looks like we may all find out Monday 9 AM, unless they have some other big announcment....Other rumors are that the first quick ship is just 2000 cards, which fits the COE's announcment made this week of supply really kicking in qtr2, what ever....link:"ARE YOU READY? Looks like the price may be about $680. Over at TechSpot they picked up a site where you could preorder the GeForce GTX 480 at this price but the site has since pulled the card. Before it was pulled though, several individuals posted comical "reviews" on the site and TechSpot made a screenshot before the card was pulled: http://www.techspot.com/news/37981-nvidia-...ced-at-679.html. The specs listed at that site were wrong. Pre-orders are never priced in-line with MSRP, either.

PAX sounds like a fun event. If anyone here is in Boston I'd bet it's worth going to.

Thinking about it since NVidia have said that some cards will be available for purchase and its just a days drive from here.Since the the three day passs are sold out, looks like it will be Friday if I go.The brain tells me to wait for reviews and the refresh....

No one knows that yet tingri - the guy who's been posting those articles at semiaccurate.com is a known Nvidia basher/ATI a really excited user, take what he says with a grain of salt.One online store posted a page showing the 480 at $699.99, complete with fake reviews and stuff - I seriously doubt that's the real price. There's no way they can compete with ATI if it is. I expect the 470 to be around $300 and the 480 around $450 or so.

The German site pcgameshardware.de currently collects suggestions from their boardmembers, which benchmarks they should carry through for the first samples of GTX 470/480 cards, they can get hold of.As a matter of fact, I opted already for FSX.http://extreme.pcgameshardware.de/kommenta...tml#post1587627I am a minority with this sort of benchmark there, but if more of the boardmembers here will join me,maybe the technicians of pcgameshardware.de will also include FSX into their list of games to be tested.So my suggestion is, to check out the thread:http://extreme.pcgameshardware.de/kommenta...n-sie-sich.htmland add a post opting for FSX (in German).

PCGH is a great benchmark site and I'd love to see them test w/FSX, but they focus more on graphics card performance articles and as we know FSX is not really limited by the graphics card unless you run insane resolutions/AA settings.
