More RAM

Recommended Posts

Guest

Friends,I've got a Athlon 1800 system with a Radeon 9500 pro video card and 512 megs of RAM. FS2004, runs ok, but I was wondering if adding another 512 stick of memory would have an apprecialble effect. Anybody have any advice? Thanks,Fred

I think its your Athlon that's slowing FS down. Dunno for sure

It won't make much, if any, difference. You may avoid a few swapfile hits in those rare instances where the swapfile is used but there won't be any noticeable overall improvement. You need more CPU cycles, not more RAM.Doug
