Incorrect FS Global 2008 uninstall

Recommended Posts

HelloI've just bought FS Global 2010 to replace FS Global 2008. However I thoughtlessy uninstalled the FS Global 2008 program without switching back to the default FSX meshes first. Now when I look in the FSX Scenery Library tab in settings the FS Global 2008 meshes are still there. I don't want to install FS Global 2010 untill the old FS Global 2008 meshs have been removed and the default FSX meshes are back in place. Does anyone know how to do this?

Personally I would first delete the items from the FSX library and then take a flight to see if the mesh has actually been removed or still in place. If still in place I would do the following:1) Reinstall FSGlobal 20082) Start up FSX3) Remove the relevent entries from the scenery library4) Take a flight to make sure mesh is no longer present5) Shutdown FSX6) Uninstall FSGlobal20087) Startup and then close FSX8) Install FS2010Thats all. Hope this helps.

You don't have to switch back to the default meshes.FS Global doesn't modify the default folders.--------Maybe a quicker method:In scenery.cfg, change Active=TRUE to Active=FALSE to all FSG2008 entries and make sure you've deleted the whole FSGX folder. Then, install FSG2010 normally
