March 2, 201016 yr Our vacation last summer was walking & sightseeing in the Canadian Rockies, so I was interested in this. But so far I've not found a map showing exactly what area it covers. Could someone point me to one please?--Terry, East Grinstead, UK
March 2, 201016 yr Stupid question, but why is there so much black colour on the ground (between the trees) in a strange spotted pattern? I was always curious about it since fs2002? Otherwise the screenshots are stunning. Those are tree shadows. Our vacation last summer was walking & sightseeing in the Canadian Rockies, so I was interested in this. But so far I've not found a map showing exactly what area it covers. Could someone point me to one please? You could try page 6/post 143 of this very forum thread. :( http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtop...t&p=1726675

March 2, 201016 yr As I mentioned way back, I prefer GEX/UTX!Why?The price and the coverage...This product is too expensive, and it may give other dev.'s a "carte blanche" to raise their prices...What if FTX made the whole USA/CAN?Would anyone pay 4-500 bucks for that?Just my thoughts, enjoy the product, it looks great! You are obviously not paying attention to what this is doing. They are making a real copy of the Pacific Northwest....all the ski areas are shaped right, in the right places, on the right hills, house placed right where they are supposed to be, accurate coast line, lakes, and stream. ALL roads are there etc. UT and GEX give really good coverage but the accuracy at this level isn't there. The reason? Because then GEX and UTX would cost 4-500 dollars.......it take A LOT of time to put a product out like this. Now would I pay $200+ for the entire US to be done at this accuracy? You dang right I would, if I could actually fly over my house and my house be there, instead of like now in UTX a 3 story office building. Of our industrial area in my home town is a green field in UTX/GEX but if someone like ORBX took it and worked on it, I would have an industrial park there with semi accurate buildings. But can they cover the entire US? Sure they could but it would take A LOT of time, time I don't think they want to spend, but I wish they would. But on this accuracy level you would be getting a steal at $200+ for the entire US. $500 would probably be an out for me, but I would still be thinking about getting it.
March 2, 201016 yr Where is that ski resort btw? Want to go check it out...It's South of Mount Hood. Take off from 0OR9 (Hanel Field) and fly South past the lava flow around Mount Hood and then you should see it.
March 2, 201016 yr Where is that ski resort btw? Want to go check it out...Looks like Mt. Hood. Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!

March 2, 201016 yr No question, GEX + UTX plus Genesis mesh looks great. (I have them all.) But, IMHO, the PNW is better. Look what Megascenery does, what Aerosoft does with cities and islands; specific areas are brought to a higher level of detail. Well, PNW has done exactly this with a very attractive region for FSX flyers.PNW at $50 is a very good deal. There's a lot of excellent flying fun to be had with this scenery. And yes, I would pay $400 or $500 for all of North America as detailed as PNW. So would a lot of people.-------------------------------------------+ 1!

March 2, 201016 yr A few shots from one of the skiing areas that are included with PNW:Bonus Shot :(Ok any FSX addon that comes with a WEEEEEEE!!!!! igot have. :( One thing about FSX or any Flight Sim if you don't want to buy something then don't but, why knock the product if you sont even own it?
March 2, 201016 yr Jigsaw,Those pic say it all for me.I doubt that the entire US would only be $400-$500. More like 10K.The scenery is SOOOOO detailed that it makes NYC look dull. LOLI would not mind paying 10K. I've already spent that much and more on flight simulation. When you consider that it cost me about 50K to become a CFII, 10K is a bargain and I don't have to leave my home. Those who don't get PNW, is their loss. March 2, 201016 yr for heavy iron flyers like me, I don't care about the entire states being done. Just certain areas that a lot of GA flying is done in. How about ORBX socal next? Then ORBX Florida
