February 27, 201016 yr Yes, I like a quick EGKK to EGCC in the 747, with the UK2000 xtreme airports at either end, horizon vfr X in between, and REX providing the fluffy clouds, grand way to spend an hour.I`ve got a real world 744 LGW-MAN plan somewhere here I saved from when I did one last month if anyone wants the weights and routing details to fly it?cheersJon BCYVR to KSFOCYVR to Salt Lake CityKSFO to KABQ
February 27, 201016 yr As I mentioned before, I like this topic but was hoping more people would include the "STAR available" part that Cliff mentioned as well :( If any of course ;-) i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
February 27, 201016 yr You'll soon be able to pick out the right STAR to use easily, once you've done it twenty times maybe. Try flightaware for current routes being filed, for example KSFO-KABQ is PORTE3 CZQ BIH LIDAT J92 BLD J72 GUP CURLY2.If you look at the arrivals for KABQ, note there are four of them and they arrive from the NW NE SW and SE. This is very typical for US locations not on the coast. If there are more than four, the others are usually RNAV and sometimes the RNAV looks pretty close to the non-RNAV until you get within 20nm where the RNAV will provide an extended downwind leg. There is a pattern that emerges after you look at them for awhile. Where as the arrivals come in from the corners of the box, departures tend to exit the sides of the box N W S E. Makes it easier to separate the terminal traffic this way. Dan Downs KCRP
February 27, 201016 yr I like EGCC - EGLL both with the UKScenery2000 airports. Also because I live not far from EGCCGrahamI second that, the only reason why i do is when egcc are westnly rwy's ir listo1s departure you will cross the inbound aircraft coming over or under you always good challenge plus only live under the approch 23'sCherrs Colin Colin HoldenVatsim-UK C1
February 27, 201016 yr KSFO to KLAX or the other way around. KLAX to KLAS and KSFO to KLAS as alreday mentioned are also nice. I like KBOS to KJFK because there's great payware airports on both ends of that one for FSX, but there's no SID because of how short the route is. KORD to KSTL or KORD to KDTW are also nice. I very much like the KDEN to KASE, but there's only a STAR when flying back in to KDEN.Any particular reason there needs to be a STAR? You knock out of lot of the good under 90 minute flights that way.Eric Szczesniak Eric Szczesniak
February 27, 201016 yr I personally enjoy ULLI - UUDD (St. Petersburg - Moscow Domodedovo), because of all the weird looking Russian planes you encounter. What's also nice is EHAM - EDDF, mostly because of the sheer size of both airports. What I would like to do still is UHWW - VHHX. Vladivostok seems fun to me for unknown reasons, and VHHX should be obvious: gotta love that approach! For as far as I know, all of these have STARs, altrhough I can't be too sure of VHHX. Although, you'll find VHHX's approach to be well documented. Your explanation surely helps. It is on my definite "to-do" list, but haven't had the time. Well, maybe the time, but not the extra crainial space to give it, it's proper attention ;-)I downloaded you sid/stars and will give them a go from here on out, thanks for making these available! i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
February 28, 201016 yr I usually always fly out of KPBI and most of my destinations are in Florida: KJAX, KGNV, KTLH, KEYW, KORL, KMEM, and KTPA. And my flights out of Florida are normally to KATL, KTYS, and TNCM (though this is over 90mins ).Most of the flights I use the JS41, and any of the longer flights involve the B744.What can I say, Delta Airlines and me living near KPBI influence my routes. :(
February 28, 201016 yr I fly tons of SWA flights, and there are plenty under 90 minutes. On top of that, there are really short flights that take ~45 minutes, so you can get to legs in for the price of one, depending on how fast you can turn the plane. Ex: MDW-IND-MDW or similar. My stomping grounds usually range throughout NorCal, SoCal, LAS and PHX areas. Joe Sherrill
February 28, 201016 yr I have always liked EGLL-EDDF, EGLL-LOWW and EGLL-LFPG. I am based in London and am a member of BA virtual so I mostly fly from EGLL or back to EGLL

February 28, 201016 yr SBSP-SBRJ is a nice one with if the winds are favorable a nice circle to land past sugar loaf mountain.takes about one hour gate to gate.Sids and stars for it are readily available on the web, too.Try it,it's really nice, and there are some good sceneries available for both airports.JP.
February 28, 201016 yr Southern California needs a high quality addon airport for FSX. LAX, SAN, BUR, ONT, VNY, PSP. One or all of them would be nice. And a good SFO OAK PDX and SEA. Oh and PHX, SLC, DEN :)
February 28, 201016 yr I quite like short hops around the East of Australia. YSSY-YMHB (smaller airport), YSSY-YMML etc. Another good flight is EGLL-LFMN. Nice has a fairly complex continuous descent VOR approach (called the Riviera Arrival) they use whenever they can to avoid noise over the Cannes/Antibes area - it's a bit of a challenge if you can't trust VNAV PATH much (i.e. the LDS 767 and the PMDG 737 at times).Cheers,Rudy
March 1, 201016 yr I do KAUS-KDFW or KAUS-KIAH a lot, as I have lived near each of these airports at one time or another. They are among my favorite short hops when trying out a new sim aircraft for the first time. I practically can almost navigate the waypoints KDFW to KAUS as VOR/radial/distance fixes in my head, I've done it so many times... :( For scenery, I like KPDX-KSEA a lot, too. Can't go wrong flying around the Cascades in the Pacific Northwest, especially on those days when you are fortunate enough to get clear weather.
