New System with my old Ti4600?

Recommended Posts

Thinking of upgrading to the following for FS2004 hopeful improvement:Asus P4C800 Deluxe MBP4 3.00GB 800MHz CPU1G (Dual 512) PC3200 DDR400 SDRAM MemWith all the debate, also thinking of holding on to my Ti4600 Video card and give it a try before plunking down $300 or $400 for a new ATI 9800 or FX5900.Has anybody else done this on a similar system, and if so, how satisfactory were the results? Thanks:RTH

RTH,When your spending that kind of cash on a system why not complete it. Holding onto your 4XXX series VC is like putting street radials on a funny car !! :)For another $180 you could throw a 9500 in there. The benefit?? How about 50+% improvements in framerates w AA and AF running. Not to mention the bandwidth. Also, with a soft mod the 9500 can and will perform at stock 9700 speeds.Just a thought :)Bobby
