FSX Install Confusion

Hi,I need a lot of help !I've read NickN's notes re install. edit, and tuning but I'm still confused about the sequences .1. Is an FSX.cfg edit the same as a patch ?2.Should I edit the FSX.cfg file before the first boot up to the default flight.3. When do I install NHancer and DirectX ?4. At what point do I adjust the sliders ?5. Understand idea of frequent reboots but when to defrag?Thanks for your time.Jack

1. In a way yes.2. No, you can edit whenever you feel like it.3. Whenever you like to install nHancer. DirectX is installed when you install FSX, you may already have it. 4. Adjust as you like, you see how it affects performance. 5. Defrag regularly
