Sound Question in FS2004!

I am having a bit of a problem in FS2004 concerning sound. Whenever i switch betwen Cockpit view and spot view or vice-versa all sound ceases. Even out of flight simulator....i cant listen to music hre any alerts taht may happen...NOTHING!1. Is this a FS2004 problem, or sound card, or both?2. And does any1 know how i migth be able to fix it?Help would be muchly obligedRegards Greg

What's your hardware configuration? I have the same thing happening. In addition the frames drop to 1 FPS, unless I turn the sound off - then it jumps up to my locked rate of 20 FPS.Dell Dimension 8200Intel 2.6 GHzATI 9700 ProTurtle Beach Santa Cruz Sound card.I it has something to do with the ATI driver (3.6) or Sound card driver. I don't think Turtle Beach is creating updated drivers for the sound card and Dell has an OEM version dated last year.
