March 18, 201016 yr I always fly on the other side of the world from where I live, so I don't fly at the real time, because I like to fly during daytime. This means that when I use real weather (with ASE), I am often using nighttime weather... right...? Conditions are of course different during the night! Does this mean that to get real daytime weather, I have to use historical weather...? Or is there some sort of time offset option I could use?
March 19, 201016 yr Hi,Real time is real time, whether it is day or night! If it is night at your house and you fly in an area where it is day, you are still seeing that location's current weather. So if you want the current weather for the location you are flying in then keep Force to Real time and Automatic downloads On in ASE.It is a hard concept to think about, but that's OK!!

The answer is that you only need to set ASE to sim time as opposed to system time.
