March 22, 201016 yr Hi,I have an external USB HDD and would like to install fsx on that HDD. A would just copy/paste, but then all of the registry entries would be wrong. So if I install it from the dvd's can I then copy the scenery, addon scenery, missions, gauges, effects, and simobjects folders to the other HDD, replacing the originals, and have them work? That way I wouldn't have to re-install tons and tons of addons. Please let me know if this will work. Also does anyone have the files of the manuals/checklists to the Wilco/Feelthere ERJ V2? I am thinking of buying this addon, but by reading the manuals/checklists, it usually gives me a good indication of wether or not I want to buy the addon. Thanks for your help! March 22, 201016 yr Moderator Trust me, you do NOT really want to do that. FSX has a hard enough time running on a SATA drive. Using a dog-slow USB cable is simply not a good idea... :( Fr. Bill    AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556    Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
March 22, 201016 yr if you google mike ray, a site will come up that has a free supplement for the manuals. that might give u an idea if you want to buy. I dont think you will find someone willing to give those up due to hacked programs.Your Member ID has been deleted from our DB.You have 2 days to change your username otherwise your IP will be blacklisted hereDavid Roch.

I dont think you will find someone willing to give those up due to hacked programs. That site doesn't have anything regarding Embraer on it. Besides they are just generic sim manuals, I am looking for manuals specific to the ERJ V2 so I can see specific things about that airplane. For example. while reading the section on the FMS, I would be able to discern what systems they did and didn't model. Also I don't understand the hacking thing, what does that mean? Before I bought the JS41 from PMDG, I downloaded the manual from their site, and that sold me once I saw the detail level. Ethan Rayhorn My Office: (Taken at FL410)

I agree, just didn't think about it.My HDD is crazy full, only 120MB left. (Yes I did say MB!) Is there a way to copy OS files and everything from one to another? Like to simply clone the HDD? Because I would buy a new 1 TB 7200 RPM SATA HDD if I could clone my current master drive. I already have two slaves, so I can't have any more drives, I would just have to replace the master.
