EZDok - simply the greatest add-on!

Hi! But we not understand your idea. Please explain me your idea at details.... step by step.. May be your idea is a unique idea and we will include it in new versions after 1.14.. I added a detailed post on my issue further up this thread and provided a similar post on the support forum - in summary what I need is to map joystick buttons to the EZCA commands for position forward, back, up, down etc in the same way I can for native FSX viewpoint commands. Apparently this isn't possible. This is my main requirement as at present I can move viewpoints using native FSX commands around a VC/Cabin without the need of a third party addon and I don't want to trade away this functionality in order to gain new features that I may or may not find useful.Bruceb=======Strange, but the "move from buttons" feature it is main feature of ezca since from start develop. But feature "move camera form joystick button" release in 1.14 only and this feature is not described in user manual as self-evident feature..

I use Saitek Profiler so my hat switches can be programmed to 8 (8 way switch) *2 (shift button) * 3 (modes) = 48 different keyhit combos. It sounds like that is an advantage for EZDOK.I'll be buying the new release.jja

:-DThis update absolutely free for who is purchased EZCA..

Clearly English is not your first language and I am having a little trouble following your argument so I maybe I'm missing something here, but in answer to the same query on the support forum your relied:"Wait 1.14 version. In this version you can move POV with joystick buttons. Not in current 1.13.5 version."Seems clear enough to me what I want is not supported at present but may be in a new version.Bruceb

Bruce, did you read my post above, #102? Did I misunderstand what you were looking for?

My experience with this add-on is anything BUT the greatest (referring to subject title of this thread). I purchased it on March 9th and have seen one frustration after another. The UI for this thing as as complicated as any FS utility I have ever seen. Overly complicated. I just installed and setup version 1.14 as per the movie on U-Tube. Honestly I don't see any difference in the joystick operation from the previous version. I'm specifically referring to:1. When you pan outside, the rotation transfers back to the VC view. Meaning if you are looking straight out the pilots view (VC) then switch outside, pan and return to the VC, the view is a crap shoot. You can be looking at the back seat floor. 2. Before this upgrade if you did not select the 'Hat Switch' for pan, you could not pan vertically in outside views. If you activated the Hat Switch you could pan vertical, however, VC panning was jerky as two functions are competing. I see the same exact thing in this version 1.14. Is the hat switch supposed to be active for the pan view? Again, I believe I followed the U-Tube movie. The Studio Rev. Number is v1.14.0. Thanks.Bob..

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Marniftarr, I just downloaded the update...and using your video link, it took 10 minutes (by pausing the vid...and then copying what you did in that vid, and then allowing further playback) to set up the new engine and hat switch so I could have four-axis movement now in Spot View. Fantastic~ It is working like a charm..and man, did I miss that feature!A most useful product...and like everybody else said, I wouldn't fly without it now. What a great idea....Great support, and much thanks Mitch

------------------------------------------------------------------Bob, you don't have it configured right. Easy as pie.... Open two windows on your desktop. FSX as a window, and EZdok as a window. Then open the vid from YouTube, reduce it to fit on your desktop so you have three windows in view at all times, and as you see the developer move about FSX...pause the vid...make the same moves/adjustments in either the FSX window or EZdok's one, and then verify by rewinding the vid a few seconds back. Verify..and then let the vid move onto another segment where the developer makes another adjustment. Easy...he is leading you around by the hand....Mitch

Hi Mitch,I'm tired of 'trying' out one revision after another, each one full of surprises. I'm tired of my screen going crazy every now and then. I was practicing power on/off stalls and the screen goes nuts. Using water injection on the Carenado Mooney makes the screen go nuts. It's to unpredictable for me right now and I'm done with it for awhile. Thanks.Bob..

-------------------------------------------------Perhaps Bob, one needs to take a break from the hobby and come back to it at a later date. I think that we all have at one time or another, since things started happening in 1984. :(

What i want to do is move the POV around the cockpit using joystick buttons, eg if i want to move my POV from the LHS to the RHS I press (and hold) the right hand button on my joystick. If I want to raise my POV I press the upper button on my throttle lever. If I want to lower my POV I press the bottom button on my throttle lever. If I want to move my POV to the rear of the virtual cabin I press the button the front of my joystick etc etc. At present I can do all of this without the need for a third party addon. I accept the EZDok adds other functionality but as I understand the advice I got on the support forum the current version does not support moving POV using joystick buttons but the next version may do so. I await developments with interest.Bruceb

Ah, I see what you mean now. EZCA will move like you said, but by way of setting up cameras in various locations. With the PTP flag for the VC cameras, it will be as though you slide over to that position. Also, I'm pretty sure you can set a cam that will allow you to raise up, down, left right, forward, back etc. kind of the 6 degrees of freedom thing. I've seen it done it youtube videos. So what you'd do is set one camera like that to one button, hit that button then move around with it. I guess I don't understand why you want to do that. I don't mean that in an insulting way. It just seems to me that you'd want to look at something specific in the cockpit. You can set up those 'slide' cameras to get you anywhere in the cockpit fast. I'm new to all this though, and didn't have any established habits, so it was easy for me to make the jump to EZCA.

With all the graphics and monitor issues I've been having. I can totally relate to this feeling.

Heavens no Mitch, I'm at 7,000 feet flying over Portland heading to Vancouver without EZDoc. Everything else works very well. By the way, ORBX NA looks superb in the early morning. Have fun!Bob.. :)

Hi Bob!I DO 'hear' what you are typing here, (LOL and large smile!) but I have to tell ya...if you set up EZdok to your personal pref's (the latest version)...does it EVER add that last part of realism to the sim. Once you have it, you think back to "so...what the heck was I flying around all these years...a dead door weight?!?!?!?" Honestly, it adds such positive add-value when at taxi, landing, taking off...it's almost like being at a Vegas show..bump and grind! :)Good stuff. I hope you reconsider. Take the time to play with it. The rewards are worth it.Mitch
