Wait, so why would that file be part of the OS then? There's gotta be some reason it's there, I don't think flat out deleting Windows system files is the greatest idea...

I know Ryan, but I'm so fed up with those darn crashes that I'll try it anyway. I can always restore the dll if windows starts acting up.Been busy with my new GTX260, nhancer and stuff. Hopefully I'll have the time to test it tonight

Replacing uiautomationcore.dll fixed the crash for me. I too had crashes that were traceable to that dll, and replacing it stopped them. You mustn't just delete it, you need to replace it with another dll which I believe was the vista version. I followed the instructions in this thread:http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtop...omationcore.dll

Yep, I run exclusively in full screen mode, with the exception of switching to windowed occasionally to configure EZCA.In case you run into a similar barrier, I had issues with Windows 7 not letting me delete the original uiautomation.dll, as I did not have the right privileges etc, despite being the sole account on the computer. I used this tool to get around that:http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vis...-menu-in-vista/It did the job perfectly!

[bUFFERPOOLS]RejectThreshold=524288Try that to start with and then go as low as you can before you start seeing problems with artifacting and crashes.
Dear Ryan,I was using BP=0 for 1month but now my fsx start to crash in middle of flight (after ~30min-1hour flight) with blue screen! Anyway I have to remove it and set RejectThreshold= tweaks. 524288 and 262144 were OK with no crash, could you please confirm I should continue to 131072 and 65536 ,

Bob: that sounds like a good plan to me... I'm using that tweak as well and have been fiddling with it to find the right stability/performance combo. BP=0 produces artifacts for me and the lower that number gets the more I start to see those artifacts. But I've found a nice balance that I'm sticking with so I think you're on the right track.

I am sorry but I cannot figure out what to write when I go lower :( I mean the figures are so illogical to me :(

What happens with RejectThreshold is that as the value goes down, it gets closer and closer to actually being the same thing as UsePools=0. UsePools=0 results in nothing being sent to the dynamic buffer pools, which results in a performance increase at the expense of stability on all but the very highest end systems with GTX4xx or Radeon 58xx cards. RejectThreshold allows you to get some of the benefits of bypassing the pools without completely eliminating it - that's what the "Threshold" part of the system is, this value is the graphics engine vertex data "block" size above which it will send directly to the card vs. to the pools. Lowering it until you get crashing or artifacts is essentially figuring out what the point is for your system when the amount of vertex data being sent starts to overload the video driver. The value is in bytes:524288 = 512KB262144 = 256KB131072 = 128KBand so on. Any value works, but the binary power ones make the most sense to use.

Mon Dieu that was a fast reply! It is very technical but it is a God sent these settings you helped to get out to the community!I have now run FSX with out a hickup using the 512kb and would therefor like to attempt to use the 256kb fix... With my Gcard usepools=0 is a killer no doubt! But I hear from fullterrain.com that they are seeing some amazing performance with the newest of the geforce cards! So there is hope! I really hope to fly using max water reflections, they unfortunately kill my fps so it is kept on half. :(

Today I had nice 3 hours flight with RejectThreshold=65536 with my 285 , no crash , no problem and good result :( .I think it is enough and I will not try lower.

Yeah I flew with the 258 rejectThreshold and even with max texture size set to 4096(REX changed it, and I forgot to change it back), this created a slight fps drop, but FSX worked like a charm... Never since FS98 has a sim been so reliable!

Hi,

1. Have you ever seen this issue happen with the PMDG J41?2. Have you ever seen this happen in Windows XP (32 or 64-bit)?3. Have you ever seen anything like this happen in FS9?4. Have you ever seen this happen with a default aircraft or other aircraft you know to not be using custom sound?5. Can you reproduce the issue on a completely clean “vanilla” FSX install where no resource intensive addons other than the aircraft are installed?6. Do you notice any difference between full screen vs. windowed mode as far as this issue’s frequency or occurrence goes?
1) Not yet, no. I see it rarely with the MD-11, nearly always with the FSL Concorde X.2) Yes.3) No.4) No. I rarely fly default aircraft. None of the A2A aircraft exhibit this behavior (B377, B-17, P47, Cub, all with AccuSim).5) Yes.6) No.Best regards,Robin.
