32 yrs old. Born, raised and still living in Brussels (Belgium - Europe). I have a wife and a kid (a 16 months old buddy who is growing way too fast imo... ;p )Studied modern languages and economy in high school followed by a graduation in applied informatics back in 1999Currently working as an IT Business Application specialist for a world leading hearing aid manufacturer.Basicly this means that me (along with 2 colleagues) are doing some developments, supporting end users, writing user manuals, doing some helpdesk & troubleshooting, etc... on the ERP which we implemented last year for the Belgian branch of the company.For the more interesting part of me:I am simming for 2 years now which means all I know is FSX. I guess that categorizes me as a newbie :)I have always been an avid video gamer in various genres and platforms (consoles and PC) but I have always been into simulations (guess I like the impression of doing something for real...).Although I don't believe in consoles as gaming platforms anymore I still enjoy playing some of the classic 8 and 16bit console titles through emulators : Sonic the hedgehog, Wonderboy III : the dragons' trap, Zelda III, Flashback, etc... to name some.For several years I have been a die hard MMORPG gamer (I lost countless hours of sleep playing DAoC) and I'm actually kind of glad I lost interest in the genre because quite honestly that type of game literally sucks you up -_-Despite the fact that a day only has 24hours to spend I still manage to find some time to keep playing the guitar and piano almost on a daily base. Music has always been given a big part of my life! Not in a band or anything (I wouldn't be able to commit to fixed rehearsals and stuff) but most of the time I play along with songs I like...As a side job I am a photographer doing weddings and other events whenever I am asked for (which is quite a lucrative activity tbh).I guess all is said...

Born in Germany 37 years ago then moved to Italy, studied informatics and got my degree, after working for an ISP i tried something completely different with motorcycle accessories and spares but no luck, back to consultancies in informatics... Family is me, my "girlfriend" (after 13 years it's a bit more... ) a 14 months daughter, 4 cats and 3 bikes. :( FS got me at version II on the C64 (that was hard to land, or was it me being no good?) Since 2000 i got into online flying and lost loooots of hours on VATSIM flying, controlling and managing the servers.Luca

yes it is ;-) we are very proud of our "christkindlesmarkt" ;-)gluehwein is great but also try the feuerzangenbowle. its right next to the christkindlesmarket. directly before you reach the bridge (fleishbrücke) over the river (pegnitz) go right, down some stairs along the river and you will reach the "feuerzangenbowle village". Hey all,Just curious as to what most of you do in real life aside from this addicting hobby we call flight simulation?I am 27 years old and live in a very small town in Manitoba, Canada, pretty much right where North Dakota, Minnesota and Manitoba meet. I farm 3200 acres with dad and two uncles. Last year I bought 400 acres and I rent an additional 350 myself and have been running that 750 acres on my own since 2002. I've been working on the farm (shovelling grain, doing mechanical maintenence and driving heavy equipment) since 1996 when I was only 13 years old.My sister's boyfriend is a pilot for Air Canada, he flies the A320 series and the Embraer jets. He also farms about 20 miles away near Miami Manitoba. My brother has been in aviation at UND in Grand Forks ND for 3 years, he was first taking ATC but decided that wasn't for him, then he got his PPL and was going to go for a commercial pilot job then quit that as well. He is now getting a degree in Airport Management. I've always been obsessed with planes and always wanted to fly but I'm very obsessed with farming as well so this discovery of Flight Simulator and awesome addons such as PMDG and LDS lets me pretend to be a pilot without leaving the farming behind.My other big interest, since during the summer farming takes 99% of my time, is snowmobiling. I have two snowmobiles, a 2008 Polaris Dragon and a 2007 Polaris Switchback, between the two I put on 2300 miles this last winter.Hopefully others will show interest in this topic, the community on these forums is excellent and sometimes it's nice just to get an idea where everyone is coming from.Jeff Calder

I also produce Airways Magazine for BAV.I used to work as a Truck Technician before deciding education would be a good idea...Have been simming since Interceptor, Birds of Prey and A320: USA Edition on the Amiga 600 (17 years now!). Started with MSFS with 98 and now use FSX.Other hobbies: started learning 3D modelling with 3DS Max, enjoy movies and documentaries, and I enjoy rock and metal music (used to play guitar; but, sold my Fender "Big Apple" strat (the one with the two humbuckers) and Marshall VS102R amp back in 2004).

I'm 31 years old and work for the MTA (Metropolitan Transportation Authority) in New York City and is responsible for much of the public transport there. Currently, I'm a subway train operator...the person who sits up front and "drives" the train.Awful career. I don't recommend anyone to go into it.

Do you work on the LIRR? My Aunt and my Uncle drive trains with them - I remember they let me have the controls in the cab back when I was 15 or something a few years back. Fun times, I say!
