J41 nav altitiude

On my J41 navigation computer, my first altitude entry often get a "blank" entry.On my second try it always takes.Is this just me or are others having the same problem?Is there a fix?Thanks,zach

Are you setting the VNAV data? That is a lower left side button on VNAV page 1, you set up cruise on that page. Maybe I missed the question.

It happens when no flightplan is selected: First you have to load (or manually key in) the flightplan. Then you hit <select> and <enter> to activate it. Thereafter, you go to the VNAV page and enter the cruising altitude.Michael
