Has anyone with W7 x64 tried FSX within Virtual WXP x64?

Recommended Posts

Just wondering if FSX would work better using the technique.
Not likely McC.. your one (even though multi-core) proc isn't going to handle a second operating system with FSX on top. A VMWare server with four multi-core procs with a minimum of sixteen gig - preferrably 32 gig of ram would do it. Something like this:-http://www.networks2000.com/servers/dl580.htm

I don't think DirectX 10 and 11 work in WXP. What about the newer games coming out?

I have Windows 7 and you can't run FSX in virtual XP. Actually you can't run any game in virtual XP mode. Why? Because you cannot run any application which uses DirectX in Windows 7 virtual XP mode. DirectX isn't supported in virtual XP.And BTW when you run virtual XP in Windows 7 it is Windows XP 32 bit.Todd

Buggers!
What problems are you having with Windows 7?
No problems, just curious.
