747-400 Cruise

Recommended Posts

Has anyone any idea why despite setting the cruise speed in FMS,or on the MCP,e.g.834,the aircraft still goes into the red sector,eg,.904 in the PFD and I end up getting the usual Overspeed flag when in cruise mode under LNAV and VNAV control? Does using FSUIPC have an effect on it? If that is the case, why does it then not affect the MD-11 flights, and other aircraft flights too?RICK

Rick,Sounds like you might be experiencing an unrealistic TAT. What is the displayed TAT on the Eicas?

Thanks for that Paul.I'll look into that in future.I have not had it happen to me too often, but it happened recently on a night flight HECA to FAJS.Usually it has been a stable ship holding to the flight envelope. As I'm too much into the par excellence MD-11 that you guys produced,I don't get the chance to indulge in the original QoTS.I'm so looking forward to the 777 coming out.If it is anything better than PSS' output,it will be a very popular seller.RICK
