OT: Finding a real flight route?

I'm trying to find the flight route (map) for a trip we took on 10th April from London Gatwick (LGW) to Malaga, Spain (AGP). It was the Easy Jet flight EZY8605, departure 1105.I posted a similar query in a couple of newsgroups and had a promising reply, recommending site http://www.openatc.com. But I'm darned if I can use it! It wants a Callsign, but that seems OK because it looks as if that's the same as the flight number. Yet I can find no trace of this flight. In fact I can't find any of the flights I tried from the departure board here:I specified start and end dates of 10th and 11th April respectively. But I got flights on 9th and 10th, so that seems some sort of bug. Also, the instructions say that a max of 200 flights will be displayed, but I'm getting only 100.For EZY8605 I specified 10th/11th for start/end, and EZY as a partial callsign. The 100 hits covered 9th and 10th with no sign of EZY8605.And there were no hits for the dozen others I tried, For example:MA613 No hit (or for any containing MA in Callsign)JP451 No hit (for any containing JP in Callsign)BA2882 No hit (for any containing BA2 in Callsign)etcDoes anyone here have any practical experience of using this site please? Better, is there a site that simply shows all commercial flight routes? I'm sure it won't vary much between airlines, and all I want is a reasonably accurate map.--Terry, East Grinstead, UK

I tried, but I couldn't find any Gatwick-Malaga flights either.The data on that site isn't collected by any official agency, but by volunteers with an ADS-B reciever and an internet connection. When I looked the coverage area was quite limited - maybe the flights you are interested in were simply not tracked by anyone.This site appears to have somewhat better coverage, but it doesn't seem to store historical flights: http://www.flightradar24.com/ You could look at it from time to time, see if you can pick up any Malaga-bound flights (but the couple of times I've looked there has been no coverage in Spain).If you are looking to recreate your flight in the sim, this route connects to SID/STAR waypoints at Gatwick and Malaga: SAM UN621 BASIK UZ150 NOVAN UN864 VULPE (it is also a valid flightplan according to Eurocontrol).

Is there a list somewhere showing their respective Lat/Long co-ordinates? Terry, this is how I understand the numbers:Latitude format is DDMM.MLongitude format is DDDMM.MNote that latitude can be 0-90 degrees, while longitude can be 0-180 degrees.So for Gatwick I getN5108.9 = N 51 degrees, 8 minutes, 54 seconds (9/10*60)W00011.4 = W 0 degrees, 11 minutes, 24 seconds (4/10*60)and for Malaga:N3640.5 = N 36 degrees, 40 minutes, 30 secondsW00430.0 = W 4 degrees, 30 minutes, 0 secondsI checked them in Google Earth, and they look pretty accurate.Tom

Gatwick's official coordinates from the UK AIP (AD 2-EGKK-1) are 510853N and 0001125W. These are for the midpoint of runway 08R/27L. These are interpreted as 51deg 08min 53sec N and 00deg 11min 25sec W and are equivalent to .51.148055deg N and 0.1902777deg W. On my Google Earth this is where the aircraft is on the runway.Incidentally, the coordinates of parking/docking stands are given to two decimal places of seconds, eg 510911.83N 0000948.96W to assist in setting up navigation systems.
