Invisible Aircraft Display

Recommended Posts

Yesterday I performed a repair on FSX. A great amount of scenery files were deleted accidently so I had to re-install all my scenery. Normally when you execute FSX the software displays an initial window showing (usually) the default aircraft in a window. In my case it is the ultra-lite trike. And, when you change aircraft the software displays whatever you select in that same window. Now however, no aircraft displays in this window - nothing.Does anyone have any idea as to what I've lost that would cause an aircraft not to show up in this display window? Thanks so much,Frank

When you performed the repair, did you also reinstall SP1 and SP2 and/or Acceleration? The aircraft.cfg for each default aircraft controls the display of the aircraft. If aircraft textures are not entered correctly in the aircraft.cfg or are missing, the aircraft will not display.Best regards,Jim

Man, talk about a nightmarish SENIOR MOMENT. I completely forgot about Acceleration. I executed a repair on Acceleration and WAH-LA - there by aircraft here. Thanks so much for your response - really appreciate it.Frank
