When I said they did not have a website, it's because I could not find one for iFly...GhiomBut now I understand iFly is part of AI-China... Correct?Sorry for the mess created, if any.Ghiom

I'd be more than happy to buy an aircraft that had nothing other than the virtual cockpit modelled. I really, really, don't understand what people do with external models and virtual cabins and all that nonsense to be honest. For me the simulator is about flying and aircraft in a realistic manner, not pretending to be a passenger or whatever. Of course that's just my opinion and choice of use for the simulator. In no way do I intend for that to sound like I'm telling the rest of you who disagree that you're wrong and using flight sim incorrectly.
Agreed- except I'll take a 2D cockpit rather than Virtual. Then you can achieve a wide peripheral view- as in a real simulator or flightdeck. Like this pic. No panning or zooming to see laterally- just roll your eyeballs! To paraphrase Hamlet- "The view's the thing and all the world's a stage----".Imagine this scene on a 45" HD LCD/TV rather than 3 separate monitors!Alex ReidInset photo courtesy of Manuel Marin/Jetphotos.net

Personally, I like my TrackIr as I can look toward the back, further than 90* left or right, or up or down as needed. At times I can see the benefit of a 2d panel, but it's virtual view most of the time.Jim D.

Fixed my post for me? What? I'm not being paranoid, but thanks for the tip. Sign your name after you post.Jordan Collins

Fixed your post for you. I truly believe you need to relax. iFly has been around for a very long time, and has given the fs community some amazing freeware. There are several posts already that tells you how to view the website, so I'm not going to type it again (look at the post above yours.) If you don't buy it because you think it's some kind of scam, that's your paranoia...not ours. I for one will buy it if for nothing else but to show my gratitude and appreciation for what they have given me for free.

Jim- The real problem is that simulator software developers continue to create our airplanes for a technology that is 10-25 years old. That is, they try to compress a whole airplane cockpit plus the 180

Why bother with the 737 when a very realistic, full system modeled, great flight model MD82 is available from Leonardo.I have both the PMDG and the Ariane, but never touch either because they just don't come close to the Maddog for realism.Combine the Maddog2010 with FS2Crew (Voice controlled) and you will get about as real as is possible. Ifly will have to go a VERY long way to beat this.I know it isn't a 737, but who needs one, when you have a DC9????Neil

Yes, I fixed the massive grammatical errors within your post. You can do what you please with your credit card. I just took some offense to you basically saying that iFly is in reality some criminal organization out to get your credit card number. I don't need to or want to sign my name under my post...this isn't the PMDG forum.Neil, I have the Leonardo MD-82. It is an amazing piece of software, but I also love to fly the 737. I'm just excited that we now have an alternative to PMDG's 737. My beef lies when people start cutting down a project when they have absolutely no idea what it entails.

Sounds like you need to check out 'LifeLock.com'... :(
For the fraud part, LifeLock can be an option. :( However, he main reason why I prefer cash in real life, is simply that I hate the feeling that "Big Brother" or "The Man" is monitoring everything I do when using a creditcard. There has to be some reason why many celebrities and people in high places prefers to use cash instead of creditcards. Just take the example when the danish prince went on his honeymoon. They brought a whole suitcase with cash, just to prevent media and other people with "non good intentions" to follow each and every move they did. :(IOW, you are completely exposed when using a creditcard.

Alex,Well, when something better comes along I will be happy to consider it. But as for now I am pleased with how my system is set up. As you say, yours' is 'inaccurate' as far as the panel is concerned. So again, it all comes to a matter of preference. I prefer mine.Jim D.
Jim- and so it should be. ------------------I used to be a dedicated "heavy" flier- even had Bulfer's FMC Guide for those tricky nav situations. Operation of the panel and the airplane was 80% of the fun.As I unravelled the secrets of displaying a triple wide view of the world, I rapidly became a "low and slow" simmer. Now I rate the "wide horizon view" as 80% of the enjoyment. And often use only the mini gauges to savour the joy of flight. Haven't yet tried powered hangliders but it's an idea!Combine various scenery & mesh enhancements with a 145

I use mine everywhere and I still don't have the PAPARAZZI following me. What am I doing wrong??????? Maybe the Prince's credit is bad. And if you are afraid of "Big Brother", you better get rid of your computer. Everything you do on it can be traced in some way, or at least, information is being given out everytime you go on line.Jim D.
