HELP! Corrupt text on kneeboard and menus

Recommended Posts

Guest

I searched the message archives for help with this issue but I couldn't find anything. Apologies in advance if a solution has already been posted... I've been using FS9 for three days now and I love it, but I'm still getting the same problem I experienced with FS2002. Whenever I view the kneeboard, or any scrollable text field, the text becomes corrupt as soon as it's scrolled upwards. Scrolling down works fine though, except for one or two blemishes. The effect looks like vertical streaking or washout, and it renders the text illegible. My graphics card is a 128-meg Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro with the latest Catalyst drivers, and I'm running the sim in 1600x1200 fullscreen. The problem remains in other resolutions as well. Please help! Thanks,Barra

Same problem for me - I have a 9800 pro. I swx'ed to windowed mode - no problems.I have read where folks have stretched their desktop so the toolbar does not show on the top.I preferred full screen - yet windowed will do until a new set of drivers shows up from ATI.Now if someone will tell me where the screen shot key is (and where they are stored) - I'll be fine!

Its' usually PrintScrn button on the keyboard (normally top row of buttons on standard keyboard setups, but I can't recall where the default location is for the image. However.....The best program I"ve found for doing screen prints is FSScreen, which can be found here:http://members.chello.at/matthias.holzer/fsscreen.htmlWorks great.

When using the printscrn button it cpoies the image to the clipboard. All you do then, is open up a image program and click on the edit menu and choose paste..voila.

Now I remember. The only limitation with Clipboard is that you can only save 1 image and, the next time you press PrintScn, it replaces the one previously. With FSSCreen, you can press PrintScn as many times as you want and then go into the FSScreen directory (wherever you placed it) and use any graphic program (including MS Paint) to view the images, print, edit, etc.....
