May 26, 201016 yr Commercial Member Hi, I want to have the effect of a certain .cfg file edit only at a certain in my flights. (stick_sensitivity_mode=0, if anyone is interested) Is there a way to swap this in without restarting FSX? I have several batch files for swapping my .cfg files in and out depending on what scenery type I use etc. But I always do this before FSX starts. Can it be done "in game" ? or is there a way to map the effect of this line to say a joystick button? What it does, is reduce the range of your control inputs by approx half, which is very useful when refueling and landing. Thanks, Mark
May 26, 201016 yr Yes, it is possible.Open the menu bar and select options/configuration and save your current configuration as modifier.cfg or another name. Choose again options/configuration but now choose load and you will find your just saved modifier.cfg. Now right click to open the modifier.cfg in notepad and change your settings (for example texture_max_load to 4096) and save the modifier.cfg (file / save) then exit notepad and click open. That does it on my side. When you got used to it, this can be done very quickly.Harry - Harry 9800x3D (Strix x870e-E) - 64GB RAM (DDR5 6000, CL 30) - RTX 5090, 34'' 1440p OLED HDR - Windows 11 Pro (1TB M.2) - MSFS 2024 (MS Store, 4TB M.2).
