FS9 C182S Grouned For Maintenance....

Recommended Posts

Guest Bob I

Hi,Whilst performing a preflight earlier today, I discovered that the center attach bracket for the starbord elevator hinge is smoking. Several rivets, as well as the attach bolt are lose. This being a primary flight control, the hinge must be fixed before further flight. Therefore, the aircraft is grounded, on a RED X condition. Go take a look at the bottom of the stabilizer... The "smoke" is a poor rendition of the control push rod/actuator. Hmmm, you have reminded me to adapt the age old "10, 2, and 4" preflight (10 tires + 2 wings + 4 engines = good to go)(or the old SAC variation of "10, 2, and 8 = EWO Capable")
