Where is the FS9 KSEA C172 default start file located?

Featured Replies

I don't recall where the initial default starting KSEA C172 file is located. I have vista 64bit. I've read somewhere if the splash screen doesn't appear when you click on fs9.exe, or it appears then goes away without starting FS9, you can reload the basic default starting flight and it may work. Does this starting flight need to be in FS9.cfg as well?ThanksRich Perry

The default Cessna flight at Seattle is stored in your Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Flights\other folder and is named FLTSIM.FLTYou likely have changed your default flight and somehow have deleted the aircraft it calls for. If FS cannot find that aircraft, it will either load something else or crash. You can always check your FS9.cfg file and remove the data on the line which starts with situation=That will force FS to start up with the default flight mentioned above.Be sure you do not delete anything other than the data on the situation= line (which should be the complete path to a FLT which you have saved).Hope that makes sense and is useful.
