FSX - I noticed I lost the sand on the Rio Default Scnerey beaches, need help.

Featured Replies

I am facing a problem with my Rio default scenery, somehow the sand disappeared from the beaches :(It used to be like this:467858%38%3081_7474a11e83_b.jpgNow, it is like this, with grass and even trees:4678587931_2d3555fed5_b.jpgWhat may cause this behaviour? The last thing I remember installing was the Fly Tampa St Marteen and EZDOk Camera, but I don't think it is related to my problem.Any help on how to solve this will be veruy appreciated (there was no changes in Scenery settings)'Thank you

The same thing happened to me a while back when I installed the Tropical Sim Air Bridge package that included SBRJ/SBGR/SBSP. I emailed them a few times and we couldn't get it figured out.Turned out one day I noticed that in my scenery cfg, the entry for the default Rio scenery folder was gone. I would look in your scenery cfg and see if it is listed or if it is listed, see if it has been disabled. The area # on my scenery cfg is 111 and Rio resides between St. Maarteen and Las Vegas.Check this and let us know how you come out. Make sure you look in the scenery cfg in the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\ApplicationsData\Microsoft\FSX and not the scenery cfg in the main FSX folder since that one isn't the one the sim uses.Edit: You should have a listing for the following stock scenery areas in your scenery cfg.Oshkosh Ariel PhotoSt. MaartenRioLas VegasNot sure how that area got deleted in my scenery cfg, but it did.

Forgot to mention that if the entry is missing from your scenery cfg and you need to add it back it, the Rio folder resides in FSX/Scenery/Cities/Rio.

Good to hear you got it back. Not sure how that entry is getting deleted from the scenery cfg, because I know I didn't remove it. Must be an installer that's doing it.

:( Make it a Brahma, lol.
