black screen in vc

By 738, in PMDG 737 NG (Legacy Version)

Hi all, i have asked this question before but it went unanswered so i'll ask again. What is the black screen in the vc above the throttle for? Its always blank. I have searched but couldnt find anything. Thanks for your help(maybe!)

Above the middle screen in the cockpit just to the left of the autobrake knob are 2 buttons ENG / SYS pressing one of these should activate the blank screen. However it depends on how your aircraft is setup in the PMDG menu.
