I searched in the registry and found 3 instances of this string. In all cases, both the min and max was set to zero.IAN

Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)

Hmm...I have W7-64bit and searched for the key in the article. FIND went through the entire registry and found no occurence of this string value!~Mitch

Hi Brian,I'm curious...I have 6 GB of 1600MHz RAM too...how did you get yours to overclock to 3200MHz......I thought the fastest RAM was around 2000MHz, but it's really expensive! Also have the P6TD mobo too....it's great! Thanks,Mark

sorry, now that I think about it maybe it is 2000. I'm a bit confused and maybe to new at this, but I'm thinking somewhere in my bios, there was a setting to set and the tips/tricks/tweaks for FSX thing that I was going by said to type in 3200 so I did, maybe this isn't the clock speed?

Ciao!

Yeah there's something set in my BIOS to 3200, but I can't remember what it is. It's not the CPU clock speed or the RAM speed though. I've got a 920 oc'd to 4.2GHz, but I just leave my RAM at its rated speed of 1600MHz because if I try to overclock the RAM any higher then I also have to oc the CPU higher and I've only got air cooling, so I have to be careful with temps. So did you notice a big difference with this core balancing tweak? I haven't tried it yet...I've been waiting for lots of others to report back here just to make sure there are no bad side effects! :(

yes this tweek def. helped. I think I got around a +5 to +8 fps for me, really makes a huge diff.I am thinking of pushing mine up to 4.2ghz as well, but a little scared, I have to make this computer last for a good while.. because now I'm broke again...

My I7 has been running at 4.16ghz for months now with stock cooler. I have applied this tweak but haven't noticed any difference but one of the first things I did when upgrading to Win7 was to kill all the power schemes.

What!!!!!!!! :( And at what temperature in real temp or core temp???I'm suprised you're not using it to cook your breakfast.Anything above 78, most round that off to 80, is bad news.
