Bear Gulch?

Recommended Posts

I remember having Bear Gulch airport in the state of Washington on a former edition of Flight Simulation. I don't remember if it was FS9 or FSX. However, I'd love to have that great little airport and it's detail again in FSX. Where can I find the Bear Gulch scenery for FSX? I've Googled it, but I can't find what I'm looking for. Any ideas, anyone?Stan

It came as a scenery 'extra' with the FS9 RealAir Scout package, and was also included in their FSX package.Unfortunately, it does not work in FSX if you have UTX USA installed. I've meant to bug Bill W about modifying it, but didn't, as I knew he was working on other projects...and as far as I know there has never been a patch for Ultimate Terrain users.Perhaps Bill will see this and let us know if he will ever consider a modification.

I've got the mother of all modifications in the works for good old Bear Gulch. It's the second airport that I'm including in the upcoming Emma Field X package. I've reworked it extensively, added a bunch of new buildings, and redone the terrain. It might not be any more challenging to land there now, but it's not any less so either -- and the penalty for borking the landing is a bit stiffer.I'll post some shots on my blog soon (http://iblueyonder.com), so keep an eye out.thanks,Bill

Bill,I really look forward to that. Bear Gulch makes me think of a nice retreat away from Seattle and a world away! A challenge to land there, yes...but what a reward for the outdoorsman. Weather makes it a lot of fun. Thanks.Stan
