What are "BDA" and "RTT" in the Lear EICAS Gauge Enhancements

Featured Replies

I have just discovered the excellent gauge enhancements for the default FSX Learjet by Alexander Barthel (available in the AVSIM File Library). The new EICAS is excellent. But I would like to know what the acronyms "BDA" and "RTT" stand for on the new, separate map and terrain displays.I've googled and searched the forums, but had no luck. Can somebody please satisfy my curiosity.leareicas.jpg.

Oh, is it really that simple!? I feel so silly for not working that out. That would make perfect sense. I was thinking they were headings for the particular PFD page I was on. (OK, now that I look at the images a bit harder, yes, I do see BDA is also displayed in the centre of the first display and RTT likewise in the second display.)Hehe, that's what I get for "doing the right thing" and trying to understand and learn the new displays before I get in to the air. If I were in the air with an active flight plan, it would have become apparent and obvious. Thanks for that.

An easy mistake to make! Real-world pilots are lucky enough to have numerous hours with an instructor, virtual pilots do a very good job of working things out for themselves considering...
