FS9 Mini Panel

Recommended Posts

Fs9 has many new features. One is how they handle the mini panel. That's the view you get when you press "W". This view is now in the Panel.cfg file for every aircraft instead of the Default folder. You can customize the mini panel for each aircraft. This is a shot of my 172 mini panel. I added a bitmap and resized the gauges and now when I press "w" I get another view of the panel not just a bunch of gauges hanging out in the air.Richardhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/31146.jpg

Very cool!I have a few questions: What size do you make the bitmap? Is it the same pixel size as the main panel with all of the area that you want transparent black, or is it just a smaller bitmap? Could you maybe post the appropriate section from your panel cfg as an example? Thanks!

Just a small addition: when the panel.cfg for a given aircaft does not contain the mini panel section, e.g with most imported aircraft, then the default mini panel is used. Like FS2002 this mini panel is in aircraftdefaultpanelpanel.cfgJozef http://www.dse.nl/~joker32/pictures/signature.jpg

I used a smaller bitmap for the mini panel. Here is what the Panel.cfg entries look like. You need to adjust the size entry untill you get it to display the size you want.[Window05]file=mini_panel.bmpposition=7size_mm=640,200child_3d=1background_color=0,0,0ident=MINIPANELgauge00=Cessna172!Airspeed, 201, 130,70gauge02=Cessna!Attitude, 281, 130,70gauge03=Cessna!Altimeter, 361, 130,70gauge04=Cessna!Vertical_Speed, 457, 130,70gauge05=Magnetic_Compass!Magnetic-Compass,535,11,60,38gauge06=Cessna172!Clock,140,158,40,40gauge07=Cessna172!Tachometer,557,130,70I hope this answers your questions. Have funRichard
