July 24, 201015 yr My airline (that would be in FSPassengersX ;o)) is saturated with MD-80s from Coolsky, plus I have several PMDG 4100, several FT ERJ-145, and PMDG 747, but I am missing something in the mid-long range category. What do you think?Noel Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. July 25, 201015 yr I was under the impression that the LDS 757 project had been cancelled... wrong ??I think it is still in the works but from what I have read it will be ready when its ready. Jim Wenham
July 25, 201015 yr I don't know.....they have been working on that for years now, I dont know if it has been cancelled or not, but I sur am not hoping for anything at this point.Ronald Hamilton I think it is still in the works but from what I have read it will be ready when its ready.
July 25, 201015 yr The PMDG 737NGX I expect to be the best airplane up through the time of it's release at least. In addition, it can be reasonably be expected in the next 3-6 months. The LDS 757 is likely to be great, but at this moment it could be anywhere between days and years from release...with the later being far more likely given little information that exists for it (I'm only aware of one 2D shot of the front instrument panel on their forums). The LDS 767 is great systems wise, but it's VC is a bit dated looking by this point (most of the overhead is a 2D panel still) and the FSX Acceleration bugs are quite annoying. The MD-11 is a very nice aircraft, I suspect it is nearly as nice as the NGX will be. However, it's not well suited medium haul routes (although it can be and is used on such routes by some airlines). Eric Szczesniak

July 25, 201015 yr Moderator I agree with what ES said in the post above Noel's. The PMDG bird is probably the most anticipated airliner release for FSX and for that matter FS in general since I started this hobby 20 years ago. I cant speak to the LDS 757 since no one in the know has really been able to say much, but I have no doubt that in terms of functionality, performance, features, looks, etc., it will be hard to beat the NGX. Personally I am not going to purchase any more planes until I have it since I have an idea that I probably wont want to fly anything else in the airline dept. after I get it.If you haven't had a chance to view some of the preview screens, go to this thread http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=273358 which has had almost 400,000 views and take a look for yourself.
