KMCO for me. The approach end of RWY 17L is 1.3 miles West. And KORL is approximately 10 miles NW.

I like the maps some of you are using, so here's a top down of me. I am almost perfectly in the middle of KLWM, KBVY, KBED Airforce base, and KBOS. There all tower controlled too. I really need to get my license already :(

EHAM is the closest major airport to me, me thinks. The closest "any airport" would be Valkenburg EHVB. This was a naval airbase that is now, sadly, closed down in order to make room for for houses. If not EHVB, it would be EHRD, I think (which I don't consider a "major" airport).

Just yesterday had a great view of a Boeing 777 during its initial climb, a beautiful sight.

Hi Scott, I've done a lot of my virtual flying in your backyard this past week, and of course with real weather. I loves KORD so like to do routes in that area, especially for some good looking cloud layers. I have a question on that note; does it ever stop raining in your area? Haha, geesh, it seems like everytime I'm there it's overcast and at least 50% of the time rain. When I fly the light aircraft I'm always in your area since there seems to be loads of airports. I practice my crosswind landing there since I can always count on the wind, in the windy city.Funny as we speak I'm on approach to KTOL from KMLI

As living in São Paulo - Brazil, got 3 major airports in their segments: SBSP/Congonhas is the main national airport, SBMT/Campo de Marte is a busy GA airport and SBGR/Guarulhos is the main international in Brazil.

One could make an argument that I live in the middle of nowhere. There are a couple private grass strips about 15 minute from my house, but I fly out of Ithaca Tompkins Regional (KITH), which is about 30 minutes away. The nearest airport that could be considered major is Syracuse (KSYR) which is about 90 minutes or so. Buffalo and Albany are both about 100 miles away.

Joseph, I lived in Watertown New York for a bit (FT.Drum) and had the laugh of my life when I landed there. Being that it was so small and called an "International Airport". The pilot or FO told me that was because they had one flight a day from Canada haha. That was back in 1992 though.

EPWA which is about 15-20 mins away by cab depending on traffic. If you land on Rwy33 from a SORIX1U star and are sat by a window on the right, you'll see my flat near Lazienki park. First time we did this I got as excited as a 5 year old - much to the embarrassment of the Mrs :(

In the south west of France where I'm taking my PPL lessons it's LFBU.In Paris it's hard to say...LFPO is the closest main airport compared to LFPG, LFPB is pretty close too; the small airstrips are further away !Jean-Charles Montagne

Dan,I live almost in the middle between Hamburg International (EDDH) and the Airbus plant at Finkenwerder (EDHI), which is just a little bit further away. A few GA and glider airfields are surrounding the city and are within easy reach. There are nice approaches over the river Elbe for both major airports. With the right scenery installed you can have a nice look at the famous "Hamburger Hafen" (Hamburg seaport).In the real world, wind conditions permitting, you can see some nice low approaches into EDHI when standing on the bank of the Elbe near the Airbus plant, especially when the heavies are coming in to land (A380, Beluga).In EDDH you can stand quite close to the ends of the runways and make videos like
