FS2002 - have I ruined my AI aircraft?

Recommended Posts

I have never really bothered much with AI as my old machine couldn't cope with them. Now that I have a faster machine , I am starting to set the AI slider higher and intend to start playing around with AFCAD and TTOOLS.BUT -- in the past, I have made my default AI aircraft "flyable" and have also repainted some of them. Have I , in some way, unwittingly ruined them in terms of their impact on FPS? How can I see which A?C the Sim is using as AI?Thanks Barry

No, you are not affecting the frame rate (much if at all) when you use repaints, unless they use textures much larger than the originals. You can see which aircraft you are using as AI in the aircraft.txt file after decompiling the file with TTools.Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___

I too have recently upgraded computer and wish to now try AI in FS2K2. However, I cannot find an aircraft.txt file in my FS2002 folder. What file do I decompile with TTTools to get this one?
