September 4, 201015 yr That seems like it is quite the modification and would be difficult to do across all the types they are doing in this package. It not only changes exterior elements on the aircraft from a modeling perspective, but also would have to retexture the Flap handle to add a 60 degree slot, the FMC programming. Seems like it would change the take off/and landing characteristics enough to probably need it's own flight file as well. Is a pretty cool mod though, and goes to show the continuing versatility of the 737 production line. September 4, 201015 yr FLAP 60! Wow, can't imagine that much flap, flap 40 nearly looks vertically down from the wing, but flap 60 would be a new extreme.Edit: been 3 weeks since this post was started, hopefully new update soon.

September 4, 201015 yr Sorry chaps,Where are you getting the Flap 60 from? Only reference I can find is the spoilers deflect to 60 degrees now. Slightly different!Amman.

It's just the spoilers deflected at a higher angle once on the ground. The lower approach speed comes from the extended tail skid, which reduces risk of tail strike, therefore allowing higher angle of attack on approach, therefore, lower airspeed. Follow the links I posted earlier and you'll see that.Ryan, I hope you can at least put it on the 737-900ER, as that production model comes standard with the short field package. ~William Genovese~

How's that for an answer? :( Vin Scimone Precision Manuals Development Group www.precisionmanuals.com
September 4, 201015 yr As far as I know, GOL Airlines have about 3 engineers working together with Boeing to attend company´s specs. The SFP was one of the major achievements of this joint work, since SBRJ is not critical only for the runway length but also for the obstacles around (terrain and the Rio-Niteroi bridge). September 4, 201015 yr This is what you see everytime a good developer is coming close to the point where the product can be released. People start writing down their special wishes for the product. If the developers would take all these wishes seriously a product would never be ready for release. So I hope PMDG will just finish the product so it can be used in normal conditions and save the special stuff for the servicepacks. With kind regards,Arjen van Groos

How's that for an answer? :(Hi!So, could you share with us how large the files for one repaint will be approximately? Will this also mean less repaints by PMDG (never cared about all those liveries)RegardsMagnus
September 5, 201015 yr Looks like I did misread the SFP thing.. thought it said flaps 60. Was wondering how they didn't hit the ground at that angle.. Guess it was just an increase in spoiler deflection and not flaps. That is good the the resolution of textures will be awesome. Good thing tricks to increase frame rates are being used along with increasing clarity and detail.
