forfeiting first place in silver to NOT race in gold must be quite a shock... :) but the name "undecided" seems like something more than the name... i feel a bit sorry for these guys. But hey, good for Grace-8. Congrats on the third! :-)

Grace 8 actually took 3rd because the first place aircraft forfeited the race so that they could move up and race in the Gold final.

What's the advantage to doing something like that? I'm assuming that Gold > Silver, but I don't see why someone would do that. Does it just come down to wanting to race against "the best"?I've never understood the Gold/Silver/Bronze stuff in the first place, so if someone could explain that it might help things make little more sense.

Too bad the only person that checks the forums on a regular basis is Ryan. Everyone else from PMDG maybe log in once a week at most.

My attention to detail is not only on the texture definition of the VC, but also the sound.To me the ambience of the aircraft is what I remember and recognize the most.So I was wondering who is doing the sound set, how you did/are doing it and if this is way too early in production to ask such questions Hope you can answer, preferably the guy/company doing the sounds.

I totally agree with you! I hope the soundset will be as revolutionary as the plane itself

I'm not sure what You guys expect to hear from cockpit. Sounds of bumps on runway have already been confirmed by Ryan (I think so ), there could be some sounds from passengers cabin, it would be cool but I don't expect them to be. PMDG sounds are always very realistic and recorded from the cockpit, some sound packs use engine sounds recorded in other places of aircraft, they may sound very cool, but that's not what you hear on pilot's chair.

The 737 has some pretty recognizable sounds, from the engines to the ever spinning trim wheel. I do hope the trim wheel sound make it in.

Yeah... And that trim wheel sound file will be the first thing to go from my Hard Drive :(

Being this is PMDG I do not see how the trim wheel sound wouldn't make it in. With all the ambient sounds that are in the 744/MD-11/J-41 it seems only natural it would be there. Am interested to see if the pogo-stick is going to make a re-appearance.. I was quite suprised when checking out my 744 this weekend after my disc came in the mail and found it. Also congrats on Grace 8 placing 3rd overall. Time to start flying and practicing for next years race.EDIT: Didn't watch the video first, I hope the people involved in the crash are alright. Such a shame.

I hope the 777 will get the same kind of care and attention to detail from the developers just as the 737NG is getting. Regards,Awais M.
