Some Dirt on the PMDG 737 NGX

Featured Replies

Okay, now that is getting to become a big discussion, just follow one simple rule. Look at the forum rules, and FOLLOW THEMIt isn't very hard, and don't be stubborn. If you have enough respect for PMDG, than show it by following their forum rules. It is easier to communicate when you know the other person's name.

Wim has a point, but consider this:The amount of forum users that violate the "Full Real Name" rule has surged recently. Granted, there will always be newcomers that overlook the forum rules thread because they rush their posts out and don't bother to linger around a bit before they do. Normally, after friendly advice by a moderator OR a community member the newbies will adapt their signature. But there is also a fraction of individuals who continues to ignore the rules more or less on purpose - and gets away with it. Obviously this is unfair and some forum members feel obliged to help with the enforcement of forum rules. It's a natural response to a percieved lack in moderation and fairness. The need to reveal your real name on the internet is deemed problematic by some for more or less understandable reasons. So, if it is mandatory, there can be no exceptions. One must either enforce the rule upon everyone or not at all. Since the latter is not acceptable, a friendly reminder from veteran members regarding the forum rules from time to time is in the best interest of everybody, as long as it is done politely.

I disagree.

Just worry about your self and you will be fine. What business is it to you if someone misses the name policy on their first post? Didnt most of us do exactly the same? hmmm? It's just poor sportmanship to point such things out like a forum ###### - especially when it's not a task assigned to you.Anyway, looking forward to more updates :)

Iìm Sure that PMDG NGX will be released in two months Why ? Because direct concorrent are working Ifly for FSx will be released in 1/2 months and the next month the Ariane will be usable with Navigraph Airac one of the bigger problem of this aircraft a part the price. So many anxious 737 fan will bought them if there's not PMDG ready.Personally i'll buy PMDG but i think i'll buy also the Ifly that it's not so bad.
I agree with you.Ivo Crni

I think that waiting for the NGX ad a decent Airbus will make all simmers crazy. The most used aircraft in real world are the last released for FSX.Strange world :D

Im getting my PC ready for the release. Can anyone answer the following questions so that I can get my system as realistic as possible... What framerates do real world boeing 737s achieve in areas of dense scenery and how much RAM does the real thing have?ThanksRob

I think, before the NGX is released, PMDG could make a video on the 737's maiden flight from Renton to Boeing Field. I would love to see that! Anyone else with me?Batting%20Eyelashes.gif Ryan, Vic, Robert, and others with PMDG, could you think about this. It would be awesome!!!
I am all for this. And my 2 cents on all this Airbus talk, not that anyone asked, but if PMDG develops an Airbus, there is exactly 0% chance I will buy it, regardless of how well it is reviewed. I would be very disappointed that after the new 737 and the scheduled 777 is released, they say they will come out with an Airbus before a 787 Dreamliner.

The limit of the human eye is between 60-65Hz. No idea about the RAM of a Boeing, though :(

The real aircraft hardly utilizes any ram. Each engine contanins a very power graphics card in SLI configuration. There are also holes in the floor where the pilots hang there feet most of the takeoff thrust comes from the pilots running on the runway.

I think real Boeing 737NG has only 2 Mb RAM. 1 Mb left of the pedestal and one to the right.Lennart

I can't believe we haven't seen another update as of yet. I gotta ask if your "still on schedule" what kinda of schedule are you on? It states 1st of a series, and a series indicates "a group or a number of related or similar things, events, etc., arranged or occurring in temporal, spatial, or other order or succession; sequence." A sequence stresses "the continuity in time".If we translate these definitions into terms and conditions previously seen by PMDG on a three part series in the consecutive series would mean 2011, (LOL).I understand/know it takes time to program, and something as complicated as the NGX is proclaimed to be it really take some time. But it's wrong to dangle a carrot with the promise of more and not deliver. What i don't know is if PMDG is full time employemnet or hobby for many, and i'm not asking to stir the pot. Just want to see or hear something from the team in the way of an update - since nobody and confirm a date.

Well some people don't like the idea to publisher their name on an open message board for no real reason other then piracy paranoia. If I do not ask for specific or official support related to a product then it should not matter who I am. Even if I do the only ones that need to know who I am is the support staff and not other costumers. That is the normal thing to do. At least I have never introduced myself to the staff of a store and their costumers (!) just to ask a general question like when their new product will be on the shelf and what it will be able to do.However I will tell the staff who I am when I return their product for a warranty repair.Look at VRS. When you buy the F/A-18E SuperBug you get an ID which you need to enter into the sign up form of the forum. Only then you are able to access the real support forum and no one other than the company will be able to tell who you really are.Of course support issues are only handled there and other members will only see your nick name. I have a PMDG plane but I don't need any support for it hence you won't get my name, it's as simple as that.If Ryan as developer of PMDG wants to know my name I'll prove that I'm a legit costumer, but only to him as member of PMDG.It's simply none of other costumers business who I am.If PMDG wants to ban people like me or delet these posts for not obeying a rather pointless rule... well go ahead, it is their board and their rules after all. But it won't make a very good impression on real costumers to get deleted for asking for a screenshot will it? - At least not if they are not on the hatting on piracy bandwagon. You, like PMDG does currently, could also simply not respond to these posts leaving “non subscribers” still the chance to talk to others. I personally suggest a VRS like system. It only grants offical support to real costumers and still maintains the anonymity of the user.I don't think that I'm unreasonable, just to have some light on the other side.Btw. nice plane.

Okay, let's get back to the topic of the 737NG. Since most of us know about the HUD that should blow us out of the water, will any of you fly in inclement weather or bad fog on your first leg so you can utilize it on landing........or save that for later, and where will you be?
