Hi Ryan,I have a question for you guys. I know that the team is pulling out all stops in innovations and customization as far as FS can allow (and beyond :). I would like to know, would it be possible to customize the seating plans and weights of the aircraft. For example, if I want to fly a Jet Airways 737-800 with a 16/138 config or 16/124 config, is it possible to customize the number of seats in the config file. Similarily, there are also a few High Gross Weight versions. Can I also customize the dry operating weights, max take off weights etc of a specific operator, if that data is available to me?Cheers and looking forward to this undoubtedly marvelous piece of FS Heaven :)Dinshaw Parakh.

...I do really hope there's going to be a "Used/Fresh" checkbox somewhere in the options. Nail%20Biting.gif The state this flight deck is in is disgusting and depressing. Don't pilots ever wash their hands before pressing buttons and touching panels? Doesn't maintenance ever wipe things down with alcohol and replace worn carpets? Simulation is not just about the realism of rendering the fingerprints of the pilots untidy and uncourteous enough to leave those all over the screens - touching a screen is bad workplace etiquette, by the way, because instructors have pocket pointers for that, and pilots don't have any reasons to do so, unless, well, it's a touchscreen - but also about enjoying being inside the cockpit. While a cockpit of a plane that's sitting at a Boeing chalet at Farnborough or Le Bourget is enjoyable, this one is clearly not. I see enough grime in RL cockpits to have to cope with it in sims as well.Seriously, if I saw a cockpit in this state, FO would be working overtime with alcohol wipes and a duster during the initial cockpit prep.. :(
I agree. Such an option would be great.Iain Smith
When will the 737NGX be released? This month? Next month? Next year? I want know only month. Please tell it  :(
there's a little problem with telling release dates: i know that every customer is liking it when a developer is announcing an release date, but if the developer can't get the product out at the date it should come, then the customers are really not very happy about that. do you know the aerosoft airbus x? aerosoft announced the release forst for may (i think), but then they found a few bugs in the bus, and so the release became later, and later, and later...and aerosoft said always next month, next month, next month. and the airbus isn't a very complex add-on (if you're looking at the systems). now think the same for the NGX. i'd more like not to know the release date, because then i don't just wanna kill the developers when they miss the maybe 5th deadline.so it's not so bad if PMDG says nothing to that, exept maybe summer, fall, spring, or winter. but even that is making the customers angry (some time ago PMDG said middle 2010, as we all can remember), if it dosen't work.so, asking isn't very usefull, as it's better for PMDG to say nothing... even if i wish that i'd know when the NGX comes out^^regardsEmanuel

Greetings from the 737 flightdeck!

Gonna try to be the first one to buy it. I don't want the servers to go down and I not be able to buy it hehehe

Great pictures no doubt and nice to see a taste of VSD but I was really hoping for some news on systems and gameplay, I also would love a new (not dirty) texture set option also but I imagine this would take a reasonable extra work, I just hope the cockpit as a whole isn't overly worn in/dirty as I like to keep my stations fairly clear of dust/grime/prints and wear if possible. Whatever the case It will be great. My post might seem a little negative but that isn't my intention at all, I am really looking forward to the NGX and news of it's systems and possible gameplay features. :D

Forget dirt, PMDG should add cigarette ashes to the screens. Maybe even add a virtual brush that we can use to clean the screens at the end of the flight :( Some airline pirates like to "light-up" in the cockpit... guess it calms the nerves... :( :(

That's another thing I miss about flying Jumpseat pre 9/11 as I cant have a beer on a flight without wanting a smoke. I used to feel sorry for the non smoking F/O's that had to put up with chain smoking captains, air hostesses and dead headers using the flight deck as a smoking room B)

i have a few question about the general "look" of the cockpit:1) will there be the option to change the backgroundcolor of the the cockpit, like in the JS4100?2) will there be a loadmanager and a tool for fuelcalculation?3) is the NGX is designed in a way that the rain/ice effects on the cockpit windows can be enabled/disabled?4) are the "upper windows" in the cockpit there, or not?5) can the windows in the vc be opened?with which other add-on can the NGX be compared looking on the framerate? maybe the CS757, or the more the CS767, or even the CS727? (of cause i know that the deevelopment isn't finished yet, and that things can change, but i more or less hope that someone can answer this question)thanks for your answerregardsEmanuel

In short, no one really knows right now. However, your best comparison is likely the PMDG JS4100. It's a PMDG product and was used as a testbed for the VC development of the 737 NGX. It has been said several times by members of PMDG that they hope for better framerates in the NGX comparted to the J41, but until the NGX is complete no one can say that with certainty.Eric Szczesniak

oh man... i'll be disappointed if fingerprint marks arn't on the LCD's - will the VSD be fully functional i.e. en-route swath, decision gates and so on?

I am starting to feel like

(SKIP TO 3:25) if the NGX doesn't come out soon.

Also,i get 17 FPS with the settings below:standardl.png12 FPS with these settings:opt.png
