August 28, 201015 yr If they do so, make sure there is a limit to how low it registers. It really bugs me when VA's have "Top 50 smoothest landings" and 20 of them are VS +10.Were they landing at Courchevel? :(Ok so get this - it is real, and it's actually already in the product - I should have gone and tried before I replied haha. It was already there. The realism you guys are including is astounding. Joe Sherrill
August 28, 201015 yr As a huge PMDG fan, I would like someone to tell me what's going to make the NGX different from the Ariane 737. I know that I probably shouldn't use another company's products in this forum but it is something that I want to know. I can't wait. :(
August 29, 201015 yr A LOT of differences! i bet. LOL!and sorry PMDG for mentioning the other guys. LOL!
August 29, 201015 yr Commercial Member As a huge PMDG fan, I would like someone to tell me what's going to make the NGX different from the Ariane 737. I know that I probably shouldn't use another company's products in this forum but it is something that I want to know. I can't wait. :(For starters - reputable industry-leading quality and simulation fidelity, reputable customer support, and we're not going to charge you $50 for a handful of liveries. Our stuff speaks for itself really, no one has won more addon of the year/gold awards etc from reputable review sites. August 29, 201015 yr Commercial Member When looking at some of the screenshots of "the other 737"'s load manager I noticed that several engine revisions will be represented. That raised the question if the engines will be customizable on the NGX and if not which engine is your 737 based upon. All of that is already present in the NGX along with the more arcane stuff you're not going to see there like the takeoff bump and it's associated limitations... August 29, 201015 yr What is T/O Bump? Thanks.Ron Hamitlon Ron Hamilton "95% is half the truth, but most of it is lies, but if you read half of what is written, you'll be okay." __ Honey Boo Boo's Mom
August 29, 201015 yr What is T/O Bump? Thanks.Ron Hamitlonok, i'm quoting this straight from PPRuNe. also keeping in mind this is in regards to the Boeing 777. But i guess similar principles apply."Thrust bump. It's a modified FADEC software which will give an extra 'couple of percent' available thrust for the hot and/or high airfield. It uses IIRC a different assumed temperature. Entered via the CDU the FADEC takes care of the rest. It shortens the engine life and costs a lot of dosh if you're on power by the hour.Only available whilst the engine has a reasonable EGT margin" also from PPRuNe:"My understanding is that the 'bump' is used when the basic maximum takeoff thrust does not provide the required T.O performance. There is no intermediate thrust between the basic maximum takeoff thrust and the 'bump'. So if the calculation were for what is nominally full power (for that airfield and temp). The 'bump' will give the extra thrust by a rescheduled increase in fuel and corresponding increase in n1 speed." Kristoff Ottar-Spencer
August 29, 201015 yr wow, PMDG really went all in with the NGX, makes me even more anxious to have her! Not that i expected less of course, i've always been a fan and owner of their work. But this is a whole new level Kristoff Ottar-Spencer

Once in a while we will use it coming out of Maui. It gives us an extra 1000 lbs of thrust from 26000 up to 27000. Everything else will be used first (eg, flaps 25) before bump thrust is used. Like Kristoff said it is costly.Jack C

August 29, 201015 yr Hi GuysLooks great! Hope you include the automated V1 call out on the T/O roll.TED
August 29, 201015 yr Hi GuysLooks great! Hope you include the automated V1 call out on the T/O roll.TEDKnowing PMDG that is as obvious as saying I hope they don't forget tires on the landing gear. hehe. I don't know for sure but I am pretty sure they would have that considering their past attention to detailJack C
