Free flight screen landing gear issue, bouncing plane/CTD - fix here! Updated 9/5

Here is my original 744F Contact Points:

And this is what happens when I selected 747-400F Mode after selecting 747-400 LCF Mode

UAC is disabled and the config manager is able to edit the correct cfg file in:C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\PMDG747-400FOS is Vista 64.

Hi Together,i am a "normal" user and not really familair in changing a cfg file. So I hope you think at people like me and delop a small patch :blush: Kind regardsSteffen

Any news on resolving this issue yet? So far I have had to uninstall all of my 747 installations, then reinstall the 744 and 748 to get things working properly again. Still patiently waiting for a bug fix on the LCF. Thank you for your work on this.Brandon Burkley

Well... I opened a ticket at PDMG and after a few attempts to fix the problem still nothing.They wrote, "This is a difficult problem to troubleshoot as we only have 6 users reporting the issue and I have 3 of those reporting that between the combination or running as Admin or reinstalling the 747-400x, that things have been sorted out. Since we sold over 1000 copies the first week, it appears to be a fairly isolated issue and has to be something machine specific on the affected computers. Can you please check something for me. Navigate to your FSX folder and Right click on the folder and ensure the "READ ONLY" box is not Green (selected) It seems like the Config manager is having trouble applying selected changes to the file."But I have faith that there will be a solution. I say there has to be something in the config manager that's making it go crazy. We all know that we do not need to use default load and fuel manager for the 747-400x / 8, so why do we have to use the load for the LCF?

Still nothing guys...Ok here's what we'll do:Submit a Product Support ticket and title it "LCF config manager test request - FWD TO RYAN". This way if Robert or Paul take the ticket before I see it, they can just transfer it to me.I'll send the test files through the ticket interface...
