First Officer's voice in my headset?

Recommended Posts

Hello,I have completed 2 flights with FScrew today after installing it this morning. I have one question concerning the FO voice. I am unabled to hear his voice through my headset. In the config menu there is not a "USB headset" option...it only shows my audio driver. How do I have it send the voice to my headset? Thanks,Richard

Hi Richard ... welcome to the forum1. What o/s are you using please? 2. On the 'FS2Crew Main Panel' (Page. 20) have you selected the 'HS' button which directs sound to the headset?Regards Dave

Aother strange occurence today: when flying from LAX to SLC after reaching cruising alt. I asked for the MANUAL EVENT. From then on there was no sound from my headset. No FA no FO, othing. I tried to fix it by unplugging my USB headset, then pluggin it back in. When I did that FS9 crashed. I haven't tried again yet....very strange.

You're sure you didn't accidentally turn on Hard Mute?

I cliked on and off hard mute several times just to make sure...however, I do remember changing the crew to EU just before this happened.Another question, when I have had hard mute on and then switched into windows to look up something on the internet (like destination airport info) then come back to FS9 hard mute is off. any thoughts on what maybe causing this? One more question-when I set the fuel amount inthe Level D config menu, then load fs9 and change the fuel quant to the same amount. The FS2crew numbers do not always match up with what the Leveld D menu said--especially with the take-off trim settings. I do load the FS2crew panel after loading the aircraft. Thanks for your help!

After further testing, here is what I discovered-At some point I lose FO speaking through speakers and headset..(one time before take-off, the 2nd time after take-off)..I can still hear FA announcements through speakers. I can see text of my speech, then I can see text of FO...but I never hear him. When I call FA, they never answer in the hs or speakers...I do not see any text. Thanks for any help!

Hard one. Try updating your audio drivers.Cheers,
I am downladoing updated drivers now...very strange that I got one full flight in without any issues..but of course, I had not figured out how to switch over to the HS then. I just want to check and make sure there are no issues with running these programs with FS2Crew:FSPassengersSquawk Boxand Delta Virtual Airlines ACARSThanks!Richard

Hi Richard,I can't speak for the Delta VA ACARS because I never used it, but there shouldn't be a problem with the others.best,

I downloaded the new audio drivers and installed them. I have completed 2 flights today and all is working as expected. Thanks for taking my flight sim up a notch! I miss flying my PSS 757 and 777 though...but the 767 is fun as well.Richard
