I am sure Flight1, Carenado, Eaglesoft and other quality developers all have the correct sounds.

I am not talking about the sound quality or authenticity. I am talking about the correct time of triggering that sound. The problem is that the sound is started at the moment the aircraft is already in stall. That is too late.

that's exactly when it is supposed to sound.

No, the warning system, whether it be stick shaker or horn, warns of impending stall. It activates in the close lead up to the stall. If the warning system sounded when you were already in the stall then it's not a warning system at all is it!

It appears "MonkeyNuts" is correct -quote from Wikipedia:A stick shaker is a mechanical device which shakes the pilot's controls to warn of the onset of stall. A stall warning is an electronic or mechanical device which sounds an audible warning as the stall speed is approached. The majority of aircraft contain some form of this device that warns the pilot of an impending stall. The simplest such device is a stall warning horn, which consists of either a pressure sensor or a movable metal tab that actuates a switch, and produces an audible warning in response. end quoteIt would appear this event is not faithfully recreated in the sim.

The poster originally said a few knots before a stall, then changed and said after you started to stall. It is as you approach it, I have seen many addons do this. Especially Carenado aircraft

Dear David, i did not change anything :-) I am still asking simming colleagues if there is any GA addon aircraft which stall warning horn start to sound before the stall actually occur. Maybe my english is not very well as i am not native engish speaking person. So please, accept my apologies for possible confusion by my poor english.BTW here is an interesting study about stall in flight: stall It is not the first source i see where someone is talking about 5 - 10 knot safe margin before the stall actually occur.pavel

yes, the OP is absolutely correct...the stall warning sound is supposed to trigger 5-10 kts BEFORE you stall. FSX does not have the correct coding in place unfortunately.

Does anyone know if there is a 3rd party stall warning gauge (which can be configured for different aircraft) for download anywhere?

hehe yep...I wanted to ask the question if anyone knows of a gauge for this purpose so I figured why start a new thread since the topic already exists...of course doesn't seem that it's getting much attention, lol. That's what i get for trying to be a "good boy" to the mods:-)
