MD-11 Repaints

Recommended Posts

Hi AdrianI have eventually managed to get the two conversions finished (said he hopefully) and would like to thanks you for your patience, it really is appreciated.Back to the important stuff, the converted repaints, I am reliably informed by my unpaid FS9 MD-11 flight tester that both the repaints do actually function in FS9, so here are the download links for the files if you would care to take them for a spin to see if he is correct..For the Emireates colour scheme the download link is..http://www.filefront.com/17439912/MD_11_EMIRATES_FS9_01.zipAnd for the V Australia colour scheme the download link is as follows…http://www.filefront.com/17439924/MD_11_V_AUSTRALIA_FS9_01.zipThat should be it, but if you do find that you want any updates or changes to the files, then just let me know and I will try my best to assist.Take care, and have fun.Jim Hodkinson@ BenjaminI have not forgotten the T Cook Condor scheme, and I will get her finished as soon as I can, not as soon as I would like to, but as soon as possible.Jim Hodkinson

Hi DavidI think I have got the correct version finished, I say this as I got a little bit confused (not your doing by the way) and started on a copy of the one in the photograph you kindly provided (that is usually always helpful), and then actually noticed that you wanted the version less the yellow / mustard stripe and cargo logo, so after kicking myself I set about correcting my error and along the way thought that I may as well do both versions, so if you or anybody else for that matter want to take either of these two for a test flight then here are the download links for the files..For the MD-11 as shown (with stripe)..http://www.filefront.com/17443645/MD_11F_Gemini_1_01.zipAnd for the MD-11 later version (less stripe)http://www.filefront.com/17443639/MD_11F_Gemini_2_01.zipIf you need any changes or updates to either colour scheme, and you probably will do after the SNAFU I made when starting the original, then just let me know and I will try my best to assist.Take care, and have fun.Jim Hodkinson@ Benjaminthe CONDOR scheme is now on the starting blocks, and with luck should not take to long, thank your patience with waiting for this one.Jim Hodkinson

Hi folksThose of you who are more eagle eyed than I, may have noticed not so much an error with the MD-11 Gemini with the stripe repaint, but a whacking big mistake on my part, the fuselage Cargo text on the right hand side is back to front (I really should look at both sides of a repaint when I do them), so in order to rectify this one I have updated the files and uploaded the new ones to ..http://www.filefront.com/17444664/MD_11F_Gemini_1_02.zipTo anybody that has already downloaded this one, my apologies for any inconvenience this has caused you, I promise to try harder in future.Take care, and have fun.Jim Hodkinson

HiAs I seem to have got myself totally confused as to what colour schemes were required for the different flavours of FS I thought I would play it safe and do both versions of the last requests, so here goes.I have only included a screen shot of the Condor colour scheme mainly to make this a shorter post, as the other repaints have all been posted previously in there FSX versions. For FSX the download links are as follows..Thomas Cook Condorhttp://www.filefront.com/17448251/MD_11_CONDOR_01.zipAnd for the FS9 versions of the files (with a lot of help from my unpaid FS9 flight tester Pete) the download links are..Thomas Cookhttp://www.filefront.com/17448616/MD_11_TCOOK_FS9_01.zipThomas Cook Condorhttp://www.filefront.com/17448611/MD_11_Condor_FS9_01.zipGemini air cargo FedEx (with fuselage stripe)http://www.filefront.com/17448626/MD_11F_Gemini_01_FS9_V1.zipGemini air cargo FedEx (no fuselage stripe)http://www.filefront.com/17448632/MD_11F_Gemini_02_FS9_V1.zipSorry about the confusion, but I hope I have covered all the bases on this one, but if I have still missed one of your requests in the shuffle please don’t hesitate to let me know which one and which flavour of FS it is for, and I will try my best to get the requests back on track. As always, if you require any changes or updates to any of the above, or indeed have any problems, then just let me know and I will try my best to assist.Take care, and have fun.Jim Hodkinson

Hi BenjaminYou are more than welcome, I was happy to help, and thank you for taking the time out to provide the feeback and the extreamly kind comments, both are appreciated, although I will be the first to say that there are some repainters in this forum alone that I would like to aspire to, I just try my best, and I am still learning as I go, but thanks anyway.@ DavidMy thanks also to you for also taking the time out to provide the feedback, it really is appreciated. And to you both, take care, and have fun.Jim Hodkinson

Hi Jim,Sorry I've not been in touch sooner - family proplems (aarrrggghhh!).A million thanks for the FS9 repaints. You are a star!.:( For some reason not all the links are connecting, ie: emirates, V Australia... any chance you coud look at checking if I'm doing something silly.:( Anyway, I've just got home after a VERY, VERY long flight from Vancouver...2 changes enroute... I feel as if I've been around the world!!.B) Still I'm going to have to have a play before I crash out!!!. (physically not aviation wise that is!):( Just going on a short hop from EGKK - EHAM with one of your birds...... reports back soon...Adrian

Hi AdrianYou are correct, it seems that the files for the Emirates and V Australia have gone astray from the server, and it is also not the first today as I have had a couple of Flight1 Islander repaints dissappear, but fortunatly as I don’t throw anything away I have the originals, so I have uploaded them again for you and here are the download links for the files..For the Emirates MD-11 FS9 versionhttp://www.filefront.com/17491582/MD_11_EMIRATES_FS9_01.zipAnd for the V Australia MD-11 FS9 versionhttp://www.filefront.com/17491590/MD_11_V_AUSTRALIA_FS9_01.zipI think that after these files going astray I probably will take up Dan’s (Turbine777) offer of him hosting the files on his website, that is as soon as I can get them organised, with me that’s not an easy task.My apologies again for the file download problem, and I hope that the above links remain active a little bit longer than the originals did, but if you have any further issues with any of the files, then just let me know and I will try my best ot sort them out.Take care, and have fun on the EGKK-EHAM run.Jim Hodkinson

Using real world weathr (VERY strong winds!!):( Its a beauiful work of art... and a joy to fly, hit the ground in AMS quite hard though... I'm putting that one down to winds Just%20Kidding.gif Guess it was a 'controlled crash':( That said I have flown with a few capatins who like to make sure every body on board knows we have landed.... one of the joys of being a FA I guess... Hi Dylan I am pretty certain that something can be put together, just a couple of questions though, did you want the overall blue version or the overall white with the blue tail colour scheme, and do you have any preference for the registration and engine type.Just let me know, and I will get something put together for you as soon as I can.Take care, and have fun.Jim Hodkinson

I managed to get some more free repainting time to myself (I will certainly have to pay for this at sometime), so I had another chance to have a go at Anders original list of requests, now I am doing these totally at random so the next one of the board is the fictional Vietnam Airlines repaint of the MD-11, so if anybody wants to take her for a spin, then here is the download link for the files..http://www.filefront.com/17254371/MD_11_Vietnam_01.zipas always, any problems or changes you may need, then just let me know and I will try my best to assist.Take care, and have fun.Jim Hodkinson
