How to increase engine performance in POSKY 777

Recommended Posts

So im sure anyone has heard about the POSKY/PSS merge which merges the PSS 777 panel with the POSKY 777 aircraft. Well, i have that merge and i cannot argue how great it is, but there is only one problem merging it. When you takeoff (and im not sure if this is the same case for everybody), the aircraft takes a long time to rotate and get airborne, and the takeoff roll seems to take up the whole runway just to get to V1 (not to mention the close tailstrike:wacko:). So how can i configure the engine performance so that it has more "power" to takeoff?

Hello,Ironically I found myself that the 777 Posky had too much power available even with maximum payload ... it's a rocket :)So before beginning to tweak any parameters for add power (it's easy feasable) I suggest you to trim (positive) the elevators and put 15° or 20° flaps down before applying take off power !Note:I don't use any merge :)Regards.bye.gifGus.

How do you not use a mergeicon14.gif do you use the PSS panel? i had problems with no merge, for example autothrottle does not work, LNAV did not work... And yes i have done the takeoff with flaps 15° and trimmed the elevators.

Karim, I remember when I used to fly the 777 using a Meljet-PSS merge (looooooong time ago) that I had to add extra trim, like 1-3 degrees more than the FMC suggests. Also, are you maybe flying too heavy for the runway? Boeing has some charts where you can check your takeoff weight based on runway length and airfield altitude. Hope this helps.Best regards from Colombia,Luis Miguel
