Does Active Camera/2004 need FSUIP?

Recommended Posts

Hi,Quick question: Does the new Active Camera for FS2004 need FSUIP to get the effects? I downloaded the new version that is only functional in Seattle, and I will buy it if I like it (used it in 2002), but I can't seem to get the "movement" in VC when taking off or landing(or turbulence for that matter). I've played with the settings, and it doesn't seem to change anything. What's the secret? Stanp.s. How many of you are going to make the move to Active Camera now that it's shareware. I will...if I get it to work.

I might, if I can get it to work. I get a black screen when I select set up. Thinking about it, I bet it's blanked out on non-registered versions. Don't have Acrobat installed yet so can't read the manual.Todd

Hi,I've got the 'movement' when in VC. Sure you've got 'Internal Pilot View' activated/checked? I am using a registered verion of AC20004, but I wouldn't think that'd make any difference.Regards,Jim Richards

Hi Todd, there is a known issue with some 3rd party windows displayed in full screen mode. Revert temporarily to windowed mode (press ALT+ENTER) and the setup menu will be displayed. It is stated in the manual but since you have not yet Acrobat installed e-mail me and I will send you the *.docBest regards,

Hi Stan,as told by JeanLuc it does not need FSUIPC.Be sure : 1. the internal pilot view is checked (FS2004 - Options - ActiveCamera 2004)2. head latency and ground turbulence rate are enabled in the setup menu (with at least 0.50 as parameter) Best regards,

Thanks. I didn't have "internal pilot" checked. That's all there was to it.I will now purchase Active Camera. Once you've tasted that runway movement and turbulence in the VC, I'm not sure you could do without it. I know I can't! It's a great progam with head latency set to .50 and ground turbulence set to 1.0. The flyby is also great. I want to learn to use all the features of this program to its fullest. Stan

Yes. Supposedly there are many other features you could use with this version of the program. I have to read the "read me" this time. Stan
