A badly trimmed 747 for T/O (pic)

Recommended Posts

I cannot see how an aircraft can get into this state even with me behind the controls. Is there a tweak to speed up the response of the trim wheels that are so slow?Or what is "the way" to prevent this?AllenPS that is not a real plane in the pic....(haha)

The way to prevent this is to NOT turn on the autopilot while on the ground. If you do, it turns the trim wheel to full nose up. And when you rotate at takeoff, that trim makes you go nose high as your picture shows. Set the trim to normal and it will work.
