Nvidia and US Army release Recon Version July 4th, 12:0

Recommended Posts

I just read a press release from Nvidia about the upcoming America's Army PC Game which will be optimized for Nvidia GPU's.They will release Recon on July 4th, at 12:01 AM at the Nvidia Website and at the US Army web site. Keep in mind that website is an official US Government website and as such all users are subject to their privacy agreement available here:http://www.americasarmy.com/policy/privacy.htmGame here:http://www.nvidia.comAnd Here:http://www.americasarmy.comThe title is freeware and is produced by The United States Army. For you Medal of Honor fans, this should be pretty cool stuff.BTW - This is flight sim related since you will be able to join the 82nd Airborne, and parachute for training and that takes aircraft to accomplish. This is not a beta, but a version that will keep you company until the full release comes out later this summer.I just have to say, what an amazing marketing campaign by the Government of The United States. My oldest son wants to attend an academy. I am trying to talk him into the Naval Academy, but he is insisting on the Air Force Academy.I am a very proud United States Citizen, and I am even prouder of my sons who have a keen sense as to what being a Citizen is all about.Regards,Joe :-wave.Oshkosh Pictures From 2001 (Part 1) 78 Pics in Frames with 1mb in ThumbnailsHigh speed connection Recommended:http://home.attbi.com/~flypics1/FrameSet.htm.Oshkosh Pictures From 2001 (Part 2) 106 Pics in Frames with 1.5mb in ThumbnailsHigh speed connection recommended:http://home.attbi.com/~flypics2/FrameSet.htm.Picture Gallery of My Flight in a 1945 SNJ-6 on June 1st, 2002Joliet, Illinoishttp://home.attbi.com/~jranos/FrameSet.htm.http://home.attbi.com/~jranos/mysig.jpg http://avsim.com/hangar/air/bfu/logo70.gif

Joe,It's wonder that no-one's thought of doing this before! (Correct me if I'm wrong :-p)It looks like being a very interesting experience and even though it's not very likely that I'd join the US Army (small matter of age and citizenship!) I'll still be givin it a shot once it's available.I'm a little bit concerned about the fact that it has a 'T for Teen' rating though, having been in the Royal Navy I find it hard to imagine reality being so sweet'n'innocent! After all, a soldier's training is all about killing people, whether it ever comes to it or not (hopefully not).Iain Spowart,Scotland.Webmaster and photographer,Scottish Claymores 2002Cheerleaders Fan Sitehttp://www.claymorescheerleaders.com/media/avsim/2002-s.jpghttp://ClaymoresCheerleaders.com

Thanks for the link Joe! I had never heard of this game until now. I spent a lot of time on that site and it looks impressive. I might as well stay up and try download it but I don't know if I can find space.Take caeMike
