Dumb Q: US Air and US Airways are same right? The new name is US Airways. They likely use the same old callsign. Is the entire fleet fully repainted already?Pete

US Air and US Airways are for all intents and purposes, the same. The name change came with the new black colour scheme. As a sidenote, the FAA Contractions listing only shows "US Air" and not the newer "USAirways" so they are indeed using the old callsign as well.Edit: There is no such thing as a dumb question- asking questions is how you learn :-)

Hey Mikehaska,Thanks for the confirmation. BTW, I went to the FAA site a few days ago. They had "blocked" the callsign page. did you save the callsign data to a file? I just went there, IS Telephony the same as "callsign" ? Or maybe they changed the link. As I do not see the original list of callsigns there. Here is where I go. Do you have a link?http://www.faa.gov/ATPUBS/CNT/3-3.HTMPete

Okay, cool. I also happened to find another site that had tons of callsigns. I think more than the FAA site even. Here is the link: They even boast being better.http://www.house747.freeserve.co.uk

Actually, if you read the comparison article @ http://www.house747.freeserve.co.uk/article.htm you'll see they compare that website with a shortened FAA list: www.faa.gov/aircodeinfo.htm. So they're not comparing like to like. The like you have above for the FAA lists is for the complete lists.__________________________________________________________EricList of all airlines, aircraft manufacturers and aircraft types recognised by ATC:http://www.geocities.com/eric_2203/orhttp://ftp.avsim.com/library/esearch.php?D...atID=fs2002misc

I couldn't find this one in the list: what does the US Postal Service use as a callsign?Denny

Well, I don't know but really, there are only two that make sense. Either "postman" or "eagle" For whatever reason, accorcing to the list, Southeast AIrlines callsign is Postman though.Pete
