September 22, 201015 yr After having a problem with FSX CTD whenever I had completed a FS2Crew Voice flight with the J41 I decided to uninstall both the J41 and FS2Crew and while I was at it I also decided to uninstall some other a/c I never fly anymore after learning how to fly the J41 with FS2Crew Voice, it really is an amazing feeling once you learn the correct flow...FS never felt more real to me!Anyway, after uninstalling both FS2Crew Voice and the J41 + my other a/c I was sitting with a very clean FSX installation at least from an a/c perspective...only the default MS a/c. However I kept my other addons like GEX, REX, ASE, UT, FSGenesis Mesh and those kind of addons. I then decided to re-download FS2Crew Voice to get the version with SP1 built-in to make sure beeing at the correct level both for the J41 and FS2Crew right after installation. I installed the J41 which went just fine and then FS2Crew Voice. I thought all was good but tonight when I was about to do a test flight to see if my CTD problem was solved by this I instead noticed another problem...when I switched the FMS ON in the J41 I never got the normal green text but instead the FMS remained black for a couple of seconds and then after a while I got a yellow rectangle. After a couple of attempts restarting first FSX and then also Windows and my PC to no avail I gave up and went here to see if it was an already known problem and found out indeed it was...the glassga.ttf file...I have now managed to solve the problem by manually copying this file from the Fonts folder under FSX to the Fonts folder under Windows but what I would like to ask is why this happened in the first place since I never had this problem before and also if this problem will be addressed in next SP for the J41?I have UAC disabled and running as admin so it shouldn't be a rights problem as far as I can see. Also, I'm running Win 7 x64 as seen in my signature.
