Megascenery and AutoGen?

Recommended Posts

How does megascenery handle autogen? Have they redefined where the autogen should "gen"? I'm asking because the video and screenies look like treeline is where it should be in the hills, and buildings look properly oriented. Is that true? Also, how many CDs and what is the hard drive cost for megascenery?Lastly, does anyone know if sceneryusa is still in progress, or will boston just become megascenery volume 2?Thanks!sg

I posted a few shots of autogen in the screenshot forum:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho..._id=78241&page=The autogen works fine-that is as fine as it does in ms-there are a few trees here and there that don't belong. There are two cd's for megascenery and it appears to take 1.8 gigabytes!http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/Geofdog2.jpg

Guest Kurt

Geofa,Can you check the texture folder and see how many .agn files are included, if you sort by type they should all be at the top. They should look something like this 003100210021100an.agn, the numbers will differ.Kurt M

There are nine seperate scenery folders for a geographic area. In one of the texture folders there were about 900 .agn files-so I would guess there are 8,100 if that is what you are after.http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/Geofdog2.jpg
