August 28, 200322 yr The 9700 is probably the best value in terms of performance for the dollar. You will pay a pretty hefty premium for a relatively small gain in performance.

The announcement is scheduled for September, with boards from vendors to follow shortly thereafter (less than 30 days, as promised by ATI).I happen to have word from ATI to expect new cards in stock in late September/early October at my work. -Max Cowgill
