Old CFI's Voice

Just finished installing FS2k2 on my new PC. I jumped from a Celeron 466 to a P4 1.8, G2 graphics etc."Flying" the 466 with FS2k2 was like flying in "time-lapse" photography. Got 8 to 10 fps. It was a challange.....Now I just took the C-172 up for touch-n-goes at Meigs, getting 20+ FPS and no longer just aiming for the airport but putting it on the centerline....About thirty minutes into the session I looked at my hand on the CH-USB yoke-I had a deathgrip on it. Then I "heard" my 1st instructor's voice say "Loosing up!" like I remebered back in '75. My grip relaxed, the plane "flew" better and a smile returned as I remembered those moments. Some voices we never can shake.... Timothy(Then, I "parked" on the ramp, shut it down, switched to wide shot, external-looked at the monitor as I left the room to get a Pepsi One, and saw the tail-beacon flashing away, yup, left the master on....duhhhhh Like the real world airline sims, this sim can humble you too...).
